Chapter Three

Finally the day came,I woke up very early in the morning, I say my morning prayers then take a quick shower, I dress up in a very simple wear, I rushed to my mum room, I knock on the door,

Yes come in, I heard her. I went inside and hug her from behind saying good morning mom, I greeted her with smiles .

Happy birthday son, she hug me back with happiness. I can feel the happiness in her, she sit on the bed while I sit her laps, she prayed for and shower her blessings for me, she told me to go greet Grandma too in her room.

I went to Grandma's room but I can't find her there, I knew she must be in the sitting room, so I rushed downstairs still she is not in the sitting room so I enter the kitchen, I perceived a very sweet aroma of Sandwish is my favorite, she sighted me from where I was stand, she walk to me, hug me and sing happy birthday song in my ears,I was very happy and also dance as she sing, we were distracted but the clearing of throat and I knew it was my mum.

She came down from the staircase, she greeted Grandma, good morning ma and how was your night, morning angel, my night was very fantastic with sweet dreams, said Grandma she serve the breakfast everyone was eating and chatting at the same, it was blissful morning.

Mr David woke up in the morning took shower, made breakfast for her before she woke up, he was happy because his plan is going the way he want it, he sit in parlour watching news.

Mr Daniel has an appointment with some bank in city of London which is a little very far from his bank, he has no choice than to attend it. He was welled dressed and drove to the city on time.

Ms. Alice has already order Jide's wears from India, a very beautiful dress with his favourite colour. Jide make sure he did all the necessary thing he need to do before the time, actually the time for the celebration is 4:00 and now the time is 2:30.some of his friends from around came, they were playing football in the compound filled, his mom has gone to the hall to arrange it accompany by some friends and relatives while Grandma is resting at home.

Mr David decided to take her out to some where special after eating break fast and freshen up, they play a lot of games and gists about life and schools they attended. They both left the house to one of his father company, they walk around and some little introduction was done, they went to zoom to watch animals.

Friends and relatives arrived 30minutes to the time some were in the hall listening to music and while some were in his house help to do some little things. They made very big two step cake with nine candles around it for him which was place on the glass high table with knifes, balloons were everywhere in the hall, they also invited one of the musician artists, speakers were kept by the left side of the hall, some of the elders like the Grandma's brothers and sisters and also her husband brothers were there sitting down.

The celebrate arrived, looking very handsome, he wore blue jeans and white long sleeves, he was wearing the latest wristwatch and black canvas,his smiles with the dimple on both cheeks makes him more handsome, some girls were already crushing on him and steal glance at him, sometimes he caught some.

Ms. Alice wore blue gown with white high heels, white pose and white veil to match with her only son's birthday and Grandma wore same. On the stage Ms. Alice is standing with the mic as she clear her throat, everyone attention drew to her.

Firstly I want to appreciate everyone for coming to this birthday, the activities will begins as give the mic to the presenter, there was sound of clapping as she handed to mic to him.

He begins with funny jokes, everyone laugh out loud after few jokes, he went for riddles, those who could answer it correctly where been given gifts, and started dancing competition for both children and adult who want to dance, the winner were been announced and been given gifts. It was time for games, there were games like Marco polo, Three –legged Race,and egg race. The games started both adult and children were participating separately and some elders were enjoying the games as they watch it, some parent were shouting their children name to win .there was also water race some parent who don't want to participate in those games.

The game lasted for two hours, presentation of gifts were given to the winners and so many other things,They serve everyone food to eat while music was going on .

Jack was in China watch everything online he was very happy, he send birthday gifts to him.

Mr David were in the nearest restaurant eating food and stealing glance at each other, he broke the silent, do you like this place, he asked. Yeah it is a nice place and their food test nice also,They continued eating and drinking.

It was exactly 6:30 when they started sharing gifts, they made T-shirts, crayons, pencils and exercise book for the children while for the elders it was T-shirts and face cap. After the sharing of gifts, friends, relative present theirs gifts also for him, some left while some stay. There is going be dinner by 8 for those who stays so the fun continued .

Jide took some of his classmates who were left behind to the waterfall side, they watch as the waterfalls,they walk round the hall he left them while he took his bestie to the lake, he like her very much, he has been admiring her right from when enter the hall now here she is with him, she pink gown designed with Sofiya the first and a white shoes, she beautiful in it and I love it.

Hey, I said smiling looking at her.

Hi, She look back at me. I hope you have today, I said. yeah a lot of funs, she replied. You look handsome Jide, she compliment me and you too look beautiful I can't get my eyes off you, I said. I saw her eyes widely with surprise, you know are my angel, my bestie, and everything else. Come let go they must be looking for us, I said. We ran to the hall and met people sitting at the big dinning table, where have you guys been my mom asked, sorry mum we went to take a walk. Jide said, OK no problem come have a seat, it is time for dinner. Ms. Alice said.

Mr Daniel came back from the city feel very tired, the day was stressful, he went to his bedroom, he undressed and roll a tower and went to toilet, he took his time enjoying the warm water, the door open Mr David came in, Dan, he called out but no response, he enter his room and heard the sound of water so he went to his own room and freshen up. Few minutes he was done, he down but could n't find anyone, he called out Mr Davide, he came out wearing his night wear. They both exchange greetings and Mr David started to gist him happen without leaving single thing unsaid while Mr Daniel listen without interrupting him.

Everyone were done eating and started leaving one by one, some their parents came to pick them while some elderly brothers and some were taking home by Ms. Alice's car. It was a successful birthday party. Everybody got home safely, Jide freshen up and also ready to open his gifts, he call Grandma and his mother to his room to open it, they started from his friends own they present good gifts, they move to his maternal the first one was heavy, he open it his wide in surprise a system in his front everyone were surprise, he open the rest and saw shoes,wristwatches, novels etc. There was a particular envelope he open it to read,

"Your birthday is special to your mom, because your birthday is a remainder of the day God gave you the best gift of the world. I feel blessed to have a son as cute, intelligent, and wonderful as you. I will always love and always support you in your dreams and ambition . You make me so proud,man. Happy 9th birthday." Mom

He hug his mum with tears,thank you mom he whisper in her ear, happy birthday son she whisper back. Grandma join them for some minutes, it was such a happy day, thanks Grandma and mom I appreciate. Let go sleep tomorrow is another day we continued from where we stop,Grandma left first and Ms Alice did goodnight prayers then went to her room and sleep.

You did good, you tried I want to sleep do goodnight am tired I need rest, Mr Davide fellow him too they both exchange good night greetings and disappeared to the room. Mr Daniel said

Jack watch the video over and over again wishing he was around but he was not, he think of what to buy for him, he game across him that Jide has been singing it that he need game box so he decided to buy one and send it to him which he has not yet open before retiring to bed.

Jack has a lot of work to do on the system so there is no sleeping that night for him, he play music in low tone and also made some cookies and coffee to keep him busy til the day break,he has actually miss home.
