Chapter Eight

Jack came back home after the four hours journey, he landed at the airport and took a cab to his home, actually he didn't tell anyone that he is coming back. He has extra key which he use in opening the door, he took his luggage to his room, he freshen up and prepare food for them most especially his mum who come back early, after cooking, he ate and went upstairs.

Jide has received a lot of insult and beats from them, they told him that if his mother did not cooperate with them, they will kill him, he cried none stop, they hardly give him food or water, he has pleaded with them to release him but they refuse. That afternoon he told them to call her so he could talk to her, they agreed and dial her number with another number.

Ms. Alice rang, she check the number, it is unknown number, she decides to picks the call

☎ Hello, who is on the line,Ms. Alice asked.

☎ Your son want to speak with you, they said

☎ please give it to him,Ms. Alice said with a little joy in her.

☎mom please come and pick me, am starving here please,Jide said with tears and she cried too on hearing his voice, that shows that he suffering.

☎ son don't worry am trying all best to get you, please be patient mom loves you. Ms. Alice with tears

☎ Jide was about to talk when they collect the phone from him. enough of that talk, one of them said.

☎ if you love your son, do what we ask you to do and they hang up before she could talk.

As the called ended she cried out her life, what they ask her to do, is something she will never do or try it, what they ask her to do was to sleep with boss and video it, after a lot tears, she took excuse and went home.

The school has try their best, the only information they could get was from the gateman, who said that exactly the type of her car that drive in that day, that the was about entry the school bus but sighted his mother car, so he went there, after few minutes he enter the car and they drive away. They keep on the number but it wasn't going, and sending messages but none went. Jack has try all his best, he was tired and became restless. They decides to involve the police, they called the police secretly and explain everything to them, he asked if she has any suspect, she said yes which is her boss.

They started to watch his moves, day and night by two police men who stop wearing their uniform in order to be safe, they do come to her office just to keep eyes on him.

Finally, one a blissful day, he was making a call secretly in the toilet, while the police were at the back of the toilet, they heard all his conversation and record it.

They went to his office, thirty minutes after the calls. Hii are you Mr Owen, one of the officer asked, yes and how may I help you, Mr Owen asked looking furious. One of the boss want to see you, he said he lost his phone, he got some information that you are actually working here, he decides to see you by asking us to come you, they said firmly. He stood up and follow them to the station, on getting there, one of the officer shouted you are under arrest for kidnapping Jide, Ms. Alice son, he was surprise but quickly hide it. how dare you accused me for what I don't know, Mr Owen said. Don't worry yourself we have enough evidence, if you think you are smart, then we are smarter than you think, please take him to the Cell.

They called Ms. Alice give her the necessary information, she was bit relief that anytime soon she will see her son.

After so many interrogations and threats, he confess

FLASHBACK

This lady is proving hard to get, I must deal with her, she does not know that nobody touches the lion tail and come back free,Mr Owen said himself. He pick his android phone, dial a number, hello I hope the boys are ready, he asked. Yes they are and I assure you that there won't be any disappointment, they response and he laugh wickedly, hang up the phone. He gave her work purposely so he can carry out his plans.

At two o'clock a car drove into the school, the same colour of car and a lady sat at the drive sit, she was properly dress. Jide was about to enter the school bus when he sighted his mother car, park at the same place so he ran there, on getting there he found out it was not his mother, they ask him to keep quiet and also show him guns, they ask him to enter the car which he did, he was afraid, praying to God for his mother to come till they drive out of the school no sign of his mother, he started crying. They drove to uncompleted building very far in the bush that he can't recognise the road.

PRESENT

He narrate everything without feel any remorseful for the action he did, the officer asked him what have you gain by doing so, after threatened her, you still went on kidnapping her son, you are a mad man, now called them, ask them to bring him to the quarters close to the boys hostel, he pick his phone dial there number, put it on speaker. He say exactly what he was ask to say.

They called Ms. Alice to come to the police station with her family, immediately she hang up on phone, she told them and they both left to the station.

Few minutes after, they got to the station, they were offer seat to sit down and wait for them meanwhile three officer had left to go bring them. Ms.Alice was just walk up and down she could not sit, she heard the sound of car, she rushed out to check and she saw her lovely son looking scatter with injuries all over everywhere, he look tin and dirty, she hug him with tears, Jack and Grandma came to join them, they check his body to see if he has more injury, it was just little they found. The officers came, explain from the start to the end she was surprise, just because he want her was the reason why he kidnapped her son. The officer told her to get a lawyer and him too and they should meet on Monday in the court.

On Monday every workers,friends and few relative were in the court with the judges, the two lawyer were both seat, the police officer brought out the only evidence they have with the confession he made. The judges did take much of their time, after asking few question and he was unable to defend himself. Mr.Owen was sentence to jail for twenty years in prison with hard labour, while the rest were sentence to fifteen years and hard labour also. After the judgment everyone left back to his/her home, they took Jide back to the hospital to continued his treatment.
