The original counterpart of Chaos, the Sword Of Chaos, is wielded by the weakest swordsman and after 10,000 years have passed, both of them became the strongest existence in the God Realm. A lot of Supreme Gods coveted the power of the Sword Of Chaos so all of those Supreme Gods ganged up against Chaos and his wielder until Chaos and his wielder perished in the battle.

Ancient Swords can't die so instead of dying, Chaos finds himself in a cave with nothing other than his power to wield Chaos itself.

His Knowledge? Most of his memories are sealed by a higher being!

I am now in my sword spirit form and I can change into my sword form anytime I want. If I want to, I can also transform into the sealed sword form but there is no point in doing that.
