Annoying ryders

Lunch came, to his word alpha ryder's son arrived at my class to pick me up.

"I m Jason Ryder, sorry for the inconvenience happened at the morning, I was supposed to arrive early and tell them about you, but I overslept" he smiled warmly.

He looked more like his father,

"It's ok, i m Leah Martin" I shook his hand

Does he also have the power to read my mind, I looked at him.

"Oh yeah I could" he laughed just like his father.

"Oh shit" I muttered

"It runs in my family, I wouldn't say it is awesome to read what other people think in their head, sometimes it's too gross" he chuckled.

Ryder family is a lot gullible to be alphas

"Oh we get that a lot" he smiled and we started to walk to cafeteria

We both bought our lunch together and sat on the bench, which was already accompanied by 3 boys and 2 girls. An extra chair is dragged to accommodate me in their circle.

They all smiled at me warmly except a boy, whom I guess is beta in line.

As soon as I sat, a girl with blonde hair and brown eyes squealed.

"Hey, I m Mia, it's good to see a new face in this group" the blonde grinned.

"I m Rachel" a chocolate skinned beauty with caramel eyes introduced.

I sat in between the beta and alpha in line, Jason seemed funny while the beta looked grumpy, his name is Barry which doesn't fit his character.

"I know right" Jason laughed.

"Stop reading my mind" i hissed.

"Your interesting, I can't stop myself from looking what your thinking" he smiled.

"So, where do you live" Jimmy the gamma in line asked.

"A private property like couple miles from here" I answered vaguely.

I don't want anyone to know where I m.

It turns out Rachel is Jimmy's mate, Mia is Barry's mate.

So Jason didn't find his mate. I looked at him.

He looked at me, and shook his head with sad smile.

I thought, well me too, if it makes you feel good. I smiled at him.

He mouthed, "thank you".

The lunch bell ran off, we started to walk for our class.

I had French with Jason, so we went together.

"Do you wanna come to my pack today"

"If your bored" he quickly added.

"No, maybe another day" I said awkwardly.

Everyone was looking at us, and whispering.

"Don't care what they say" he grabbed my hand and speed up the stairs to the class.

'It doesn't affect me, all I feel is numb' I thought.

His head jerked, he stopped head track.

He hugged me tightly, I cried, all the pent up anger and guilt bubbled in my mind.

He lifted me in bridal style, walked towards parking lot, placed me inside the car. He drove into the forest area.

He stopped the car and opened my door to get me out. He gave his hand to help me out.

We walked in silence.

He never pulled his hand away, neither did I.

'Why did I cry in front of him, it's so embarrassing'

"It's nothing embarrassing" he awkwardly patted my head

I laughed.

"I never cry, I m just saying" I added.

"I know" he mumbles.

We sat on the bench in a comfortable silence.

"Do you know, my mom died, I felt like I wanna die, since I couldn't protect her" he said while looking out in the forest.

"I know, your dad told me".

"I ran away from the pack, because I couldn't look at my fathers face" he gripped my hand.

"I know how it feels, to see our loved one's die" l patted his hand.

"It still hurts Leah, to know how worthless I m" Jason's eyes bled tears for his dead mother.

"Don't be guilty, it's not your fault, we will get revenge" I said with determination.

"Come I will drop you at your house" he get up.

"I have my car in the school, so drop me there" we walked to the car.

He nodded.

He dropped me in the school, we didn't talk after that, he was feeling very awkward that he shared something vulnerable about him. I feel the same. I don't like to be vulnerable.

I drove to my home, still no sign of my uncle Jim.

I sighed.

I went upstairs, millions of thought run through my mind.

Why did I have to cry in front of me?, I felt something a sense of safety when I m with him.

But I don't want someone who isn't my mate. I will wait for him, but I can't seem to forget his face and that care free smile, the tears for his mother.

He is something special.

"Lee Lee" uncle Jim said in a childish voice.

"Not that, please, I would rather have silence" I giggled.

"Oh my, okay I m going but I thought you might want something to eat, it's ok, I can eat yours too" he grinned.

My stomach grumbled on cue.

"Come on, let's set the table" he clapped his hands.

"How was your first day Lee" he dumped spaghetti in his mouth.

"Not bad, I made some friends" I said, I left the part where I cried and skipped the school half day.

"It will get better" he patted my hand.

"What happened today, did you get that guy" I changed the subject.

"You know, same old, but didn't even get a proof that he lived there, which is suspicious" he moved his food in the plate.

"Be careful, your all I have" my eyes felt moisture.

'What's with me today, my eyes wouldn't stop their water works' I sighed.

I told him that I m done, I went upstairs laid on my bed, hugged my pillow and cried myself to sleep.

I woke up at midnight by a howling wolf, I looked out in the wind and know who it is right away.

There stood a black furred wolf with electric blue eyes.
