Dungeon cores are wonderful intelligent beings, if only misunderstood. They amass great treasures, craft puzzling traps, and raise glorious monsters - all to gain the attention of human adventurers! 

Our newborn dungeon sets its sight on becoming the greatest dungeon there is, sparking the dreams of adventurers from all parts of the world! But despite its best efforts, nobody shows up. What could be wrong?

The Dungeon Mythos {HIATUS}

CONDITIONS NECESSARY FOR □□□□□□ ARE MET.


Under featureless earth, away from privy eyes, there was a flicker of something. A shift in the dirt. A rattle among the stones.  An invisible force, a miniature black hole, expanding greedily into the uncharted subterranean world, eroding the mana suffused ground. 


The amorphous hollow steadily increased its size, taking a structured shape. The dirt was pushed away with geometrical precision, a testament to the involvement of outside forces pushing an artificial design. As the earth settled into shape, it unveiled clear-cut corners and smooth walls. No longer was this a nameless hollow, but a proper 'Chamber'. 


From the empty 'Chamber's' midst, a single stalagmite arose. It stood proud and tall, shaped like an earthy obelisk, complete with a thumb-sized quartz spire. The surrounding mana coalesced around the little gem, draining the energy from the dark underground. The pressure in the mana grew with each passing moment, making the quartz emit bright fluorescent light, which pulsated to a silent rhythm.


The waves of mana brought changes to the crystal's molecular makeup, fueling its growth into an eerily perfect, transparent sphere. Its mass multiplied twofold, threefold, fourfold - greedily swallowing the energy around it. Only once it reached ten times its original size, did the gem get fully saturated in mana.


The excess energy gathered that could not be absorbed was sent outwards, washing through the walls and tempering them like steel. In an impressive magical reaction, the crude, earthern walls transformed into resilient 'Dungeon Stone', bolstering the structural integrity of the 'Chamber'. 


Information flowed down in waves, downloading from an unknown source into its magically arranged microscopical grooves of silica and metal. A spark of intelligence shone in the fluorescent gem, blessing it with the miracle of free thought and consciousness, completing its transformation into a veritable 'Core'.
