A familiar roof, a family roof, I look at my hands, smooth and soft, white as snow. I get up quickly and go to the mirror. A skin as white and smooth as a boiled egg, eyes as blue as a flower, lips slightly pink and cheeks flushed just after waking up. A healthy body with a thin waist, full breasts and a well rounded butt, long and smooth legs. Straight hair with light waves of soft pink color. This is me, Roseli Meratto Nigthgale. The problem is that this body is obviously much younger. It feels like I'm back in my twenties. I went back to bed and called Mildred, my personal maid I brought home. She has been with me since I was five and is only four years older.
Mildred: Good morning Madame, how is her day? You have to get up now, the messenger will arrive later with company affairs, and you must see everything in three days. She also has the house accounting books. Today is the day they report them.
Roseli: Mildred, I know this is going to sound strange, but what day, month and year is today exactly?
Mildred: It is the fifth day of the third month of the year 563.
Roseli: Thank you. Well, let's change today's plans. After getting dressed, take the butler from the house and bring him here. Contact Juan and James. I will need a butler for my house and Arthur, my new secretary will do the job.
Mildred: ~ sigh ~ Madame, can I know what you're making up now?
Roseli: A new life, my dear Mildred, a new and renewed life. I am twenty-two years old and two children of seven who don't give a damn about me. A husband ungrateful for my efforts and na unsatisfactory married life.
Mildred: That, Madame, is not thinking about divorce is it?
Roseli: Divorce, me? For what? So that they see me as na abandoned woman, who lives in luxury with the money she took from her husband while she abandons her children? No, thank you. I can't get divorced without screaming. Better to live well. And prepare paper and pen, get the North Wing blueprint, and call on the butler. Let's rock, honey.
Mildred: ~ laughs ~ As you wish Madame.
I wrote a letter to James and Juan. Janesa is very busy traveling to the other part of the kingdom in na inspection of materials. Along with the North wing plan, a list of specifications for the renovation and decoration, in addition to the number of employees I will need and I also asked Arthur to accompany me. My husband is on na official trip for the king and will not be back for another fifteen days, and my children went to visit his grandfather at his beach house and only returned in fifteen days too. Long enough for my plan.
I called the butler, Rogério, for a friendly conversation about me stop contributing to the family accounts, and about me renovating the North wing, because that's where I'm going to live from now on. The mansion is divided into several areas, but the North wing is different. It was built after the mansion and is separated from the mansion by a corridor almost twenty meters long. The corridor itself is open, but the wing looks more like na adjacent house than a part of the mansion, not to mention that it hasn't been used in nearly 150 years and hasn't been cleaned since it was abandoned. It is almost a deposit. Fortunately, there is a secondary kitchen in the wing, as well as a house for employees that is more like a cabin, but that can be done.
Butler Rogério: Madam, there is no way to renovate na entire wing with the funds we have. I'm sure you know that.
Roseli: Don't worry about it, the demolition, renovation, cleaning and decoration will be completed in 13 days, starting today. And don't worry about the money. I'll be playing everything. Now that we're done with this conversation, I'm going to review the ledgers and give them to you. As of today I will no longer be managing the mansion, only the North wing will be under my jurisdiction. In fact, the builders and breakers arrived in half na hour, don't leave them at the door. The North wing has na external entrance if I'm not mistaken. They went in there.
Mildred: ~ laughs ~ His face when you said that was hilarious. But where are we going now?
Roseli: We are going out to the Santa Lucia orphanage. I will adopt two children from there.
Mildred: Yes, you're kidding, aren't you?
Roseli: Of course not, my children can expect to receive nothing from me. I am going to adopt children to inherit my money, what do you think?
Mildred: You really are not kidding. Shall we leave after lunch then?
Roseli: Of course, Arthur should be here soon and Juan will accompany us on this trip. Pack your bags, let's go on vacation.
As expected, Arthur arrived with over a hundred workers to renovate the entire North wing in thirteen days. Both the North wing and the employees' residence were planned. As for the decoration, I was very specific in writing down everything I want in the house plans. Arthur has already arrived with a catalog and Juan with questions. In the end I explained to them both my idea, including adopting two children, a couple of course, and that they would live in the North wing with me. So the loading of new clothes for the orphanage, which I personally will take to meet my new godchildren.
Of course, I may not have told the part that I already know who I'm going to adopt. They are Theodore and Tanya Vicente, orphans who lost their parents in a fire. His parents were simple traders, and died when Theodore was three and Tanya was one. They were taken to the Santa Lucia orphanage, one of the orphanages sponsored by Astéria, my conglomerate. In the future, Theodore will become a rising star in the world of financial politics while Tanya stands out as one of the few women, even more a commoner, to enter and act as a diplomat for the kingdom. Both are geniuses rarely seen, but few know that they are like wolves in sheep's clothing and are very mature since young. Theodore knows that the world is a cruel place and let Tanya know that too. They are perfect kids to take my company away when I am no longer here. Of course that would be my retirement, since I am not going to die before I am eighty in this life.
