The Wounded Lion

Sure enough, after being approached, Angela realized that the lion was injured.

"It's a male!"

Angela muttered silently admiring the beauty of the male lion's mane. If only lions weren't terrible and ate humans, Angela would definitely get along with any lion.

She bent down to examine the lion's wounds. It turned out that there was an arrow that had stuck on his right back leg. Angela was about to pull out the arrow, however, she was afraid it would make the lion hurt. She was deep in thought to think about the method to reduce the pain.

How was she going to pull out the arrow without pain?

Then Angela remembered singing a song in the midst of the suffering of her friend who was being treated by a doctor. Indeed, her sweet voice could distract patients and calmed the mind so that their pain would be lessened.

Then Angela grabbed the arrow at the lion's leg. She started singing with a beautiful voice and made anyone fall asleep. That was when she slowly drew the arrow from the lion's leg. The lion's body tensed a little but did not howl in pain. Angela managed to pull out the arrow successfully.

One more problem existed.

The blood from the arrow wound did not stop flowing. Angela was confused about how the lion will survive if he lost so much blood. Then she tore off part of the cloth of her shirt to be used as a bandage to stop the flow of blood from the lion's leg. It turned out good. The blood did not flow freely again.

Now what should she do to help it all? She did not even understand how to treat wounded patients other than dressing the wound. I hope the lion could survive in this condition.

"Lion ... umm ... Leo. I will call you Leo because you're so handsome. Okay, Leo! I can not take care of your wound anymore. I can not help you anymore," she said sadly. "How about if I sing more songs for you?"

"...."

"I hope my voice can relieve your pain and you can sleep well after that."

Angela started singing a song for the lion. Her sweet voice was soothing and calming everyone's heart. Not only human, animals also liked to hear Angela's voice.

The animals were gathered around Angela who was singing to the lion. The lion, which had been in pain, now calmed down. Angela stroked the lion's head. She got fascinated and admired the lion's prowess.

Could not resist the temptation, Angela kissed the lion who was paralyzed. A very romantic scene. If this were a fairy tale, the lion would have turned into a very handsome prince. But this was not a fairy tale. The lion remained a lion. Even his wound did not heal in miraculous way because of the beautiful voice of Angela.

It was getting dark. Angela didn't want to leave the lion. Because she herself had the difficulty of moving the lion. How could a little girl move such a heavy lion to get into a cave or safe place?
