Chapter 15: Conspiracy

Clarissa took us to Jacks's room and his face lit up when he saw me. He patted to his side to sit next to him and I did.

"Okay everyone, I need all of you to listen. There's something wrong here" Clarissa said as she paced around the room.

"You're still making conspiracy theories about this place?" Jacks facepalmed and she raised her hand. "Let me speak, when they eliminated Sussie and Francis did you see the judges faces?"

"No. We weren't facing them" Louise said.

"Exactly. But I slightly turned around and they made this weird expression" She grabbed her purse and started going through her stuff, aggressively. "Where exactly are you going with this?" Asked Jacks. She pulled out a hard drive and connected it to her computer.

"I stole some unedited footage that recorded the judges faces" she showed Jacks and I the video, Louise and Veronica stood next to us to see. All three of the judges had these creepy, evil smirks and they licked their lips as if they were hungry. "What the hell?" I said freaked out. Jacks looked weirded out.

"Maybe they were happy about them being eliminated?" Veronica said. "Yeah, they normally look like that. Happy? I don't think so" Louise said sarcastically as she crossed her arms and shook her head.

"We need to be careful. We shouldn't be messing around with this stuff. I mean, Clarissa you shouldn't be stealing unedited footage. It would get us all in trouble" Jacks said.

"I agree. The less we know the better. We can't be snooping around it's risky" I said and Clarissa just stood there shocked.

"So you are all going to let this pass. They are hiding something I can feel it!" Clarissa said angrily.

"We need to focus on the competition, nothing else," Louise said and Clarissa shook her head.

"I'll find something one day. Mark my words" she left the room and we all sat there looking at each other.

"Well, we are leaving now. We have some things to do" Louise said and left with Veronica. It was just me and Jacks now.

"So do you agree with Clarissa?" He asked and I shrugged,

"maybe, I don't know. They looked so weird, but it's too early to make theories that might not be true" "Exactly," he said. Jacks stood up and asked,

"what are you going to do now?" "Don't know" I shrugged. He offered me his hand,

"wanna walk for a while?" I smiled at him,

"I would like to" I grabbed his hand and we left his room. We walked around the hallway and we saw Charlotte and Hector running hand in hand laughing like kids.

"Since when are those two together?" I asked.

"Since this morning. They are dating" Jacks added. I did not expect hector to have a girlfriend and this early, didn't they just met like two weeks ago. I heard Jacks laugh a little. "What's so funny?" I asked and he laughed again.

"I like the way your hand feels" he said. That sentence made my intestines crumble. I felt my cheeks warm and he laughed again,

"you are the best" his grip on my hand got tighter and he gave me a small charming smile. We walked around the lobby and I saw Damien. Jacks looked at him and Damien rolled his eyes,

"what's his deal?" He asked.

"He likes me. Seems like you have competition" I said.

"Oh, I'm sure I'll win," he said and Damien walked to us. Oh no, why ruin the moment.

"Hey, Adryan... Jacks" he said his name with disgust. Jacks let go of my hand and looked annoyed.

"What now?" He asked.

"I'm just saying, hi, to my roommate" he waved at me with a smirk and I gave him an uncomfortable smile. "That's it, you just wanted to say hi?" Jacks asked and Damien rolled his eyes.

"No need to get mad, Adryan let me ask you something," he said.

"What?" I said normally.

"Will y....." he got interrupted by the hotel guide which called everyone to reunite in the front.

Damien scoffed,

"forget it," he said and walked away. Everyone made it to the lobby and the guide was standing there with the fakest looking smile.

"Listen up people. I just got news from the creator. Instead of eliminating two people per week, three will now be eliminated every week" He said and walked away. The people started complaining.

"That's not fair, they just want to get rid of us" Hector yelled and stormed off with Charlotte. But the first two just got eliminated, and now they're planning on eliminating three?

"Now that three of us are leaving every week, we get to spend less time together" Jacks said giving me a cute smug.

"It's ok. I'm not going anywhere" I said and he took me to my room. After Jacks took me to my room, he left because he needed to work on stuff. I was alone. I walked to the window, I wanted to see the city, even when there's a huge annoying fence covering the whole resort. It would be amazing if I walked around the city for just one day. Feel the fresh breeze and not worry about anything else. It's better than seeing the city from a far distance. My thoughts were interrupted after I heard the door slam. I immediately turned around and I saw Damien standing there.

"Damien, you scared me," I said as I held my chest. Damien walked towards me and pinned me against the wall.

"W...what are you doing?" I asked and his light blue eyes looked through mine directly and I felt chills down my spine.

"I don't like seeing you with Jacks," he said.

"Yeah I know" I said

"Then why are you doing it?" He asked angrily

"Can't I hang out with a friend?" I said and he shook his head and leaned his face closer to mine and whispered in my ear,

"I'll show you why you shouldn't" His deep voice sent chills down my spine and made me get goosebumps. He looked me in the eyes one more time and then he kissed me.
