Chapter 35: Five Months Later

Epilogue

The promise of instant fame was true. I moved, took my family with me, and moved my dad to a better hospital. Damien shared a high-class apartment with me. Because we became a duo, we got to share everything. I haven't seen Jacks in months and I miss him. I wonder what he's doing. We got signed to the biggest label in the country "moonlight records" and they treated us like stars. We recorded a full length album and we had to perform all of our songs at our first concert. I totally forgot that the winners of Starsdom earned a concert at the Hollywood bowl. I wasn't prepared to face that many people. But it was my opportunity to see Jacks again. We were all currently in our living room talking. My mom wanted to hear the story about my experience at Starsdom. I wasn't ready to explain the traumatizing events that I experienced I didn't tell her that I was in love with two men, and that my friends betrayed me for something that didn't work out. As soon as I got out I went home and my mom literally cried when she saw me, and Oliver was so proud to see me again. As soon as mom saw Damien she said that he was cute, obviously embarrassing me. I spent every day catching up with mom, Oliver, and dad. I was still traumatized, I couldn't sleep I had nightmares. Everyday Damien would sleep with me because I was afraid that Aristole would come and take me. Damien's soft words and his warm embrace is what helped me sleep. I don't know if he's dead. Soline shot him in the shoulder and we ran. Soline, I don't know what happened to her. She told me to run and I did. I never saw her again.

Today was the concert. We planned it for a long time. We went to the arena early for sound check and to get dressed and ready. I haven't seen Jacks. I looked everywhere for him. We finished preparing and waited backstage. I saw Jacks enter the room and I ran to him. I hugged him immediately and he said,

"missed you" He kissed me in the cheek and I hugged him again.

"So did I," I said and he snuggled into me as we hugged.

"How's it been?" I asked and he explained everything. Once the competition ended, he went to his house and stayed hidden. Basically, everyone loved him. Record labels wanted him but he stayed silent and ignored everything all he wanted was to see me. That's why he agreed to perform here. The show started and he performed. He sang new songs and the crowd was wild like always. I peeked a little through the curtains and the place was filled with a lot of people. I gasped and I looked away instantly. Jacks' performance was amazing. He kept the fans on their feet and his energy was wild. He did some sexy dance moves that basically killed the fans and me. He finished and he wished me luck. The fans chanted our names and I got nervous as I got ready. Damien saw me and he grabbed my hands,

"focus on me. Don't think about the fans. Just sing" he closed his eyes and nodded. That one expression that he did always calmed me down. It made me feel safe. We walked to the stage and the people went wild. The song started and Damien strummed his electric guitar and started singing. I harmonized with him and we sounded beautiful. We did amazing in the whole concert and the fans never got tired of us. There was this moment that I lost my voice and Damien sang for me. We returned backstage and Jacks wasn't there. "Where's Jacks?" I asked our agent and he told me that he had to leave early because it was mandatory.

"Oh, and here" he gave me a letter. I gave him a weird look and I grabbed it.

"What's it for?" I asked and he shrugged.

"I don't know. Someone said to give it to you. It's important I think" I opened it and it said.

You're not getting away from me easily. I'm coming back to you -Aristole

I quickly crumbled the note and I threw it in the trash can.

"What happened?" Damien asked. "It's Aristole. The fights not over" I said and he looked at me shocked. I was right. The fight is not over and I will do anything to expose him.
