As they followed Wynter's lead, they were soon led to a run-down shop. They parked in an alley across the street and walked towards the small building.

"This is the secret base," Envie asked skeptically. The Mermaidens may not care about being all-out fancy, but they wouldn't be caught dead with this. Wynter rolled her eyes and opened the door walking to the back of the shop. She stopped in front of a mirror, and she moved it to the side seeing a keypad. "Woah, see this is more like it," Envie exclaimed. Wynter quickly tapped the correct numbers for the password and the scratched door beside it beeped.

Wynter pushed the door open, letting a staircase come into the group's view. They quickly made their way down the door closing behind them, courtesy of Wynter. "Welcome to the base," Wynter quickly murmured gesturing to the room.

It consisted of two small couches and a small kitchen. Also, it consisted of a weapons table, a small bathroom, a medical kit, and one phone. The phone was in case of emergency if someone found the base and they needed back up.

"So you've been here right," Envie asked settling herself on the couch. Wynter nodded, "One of my missions went wrong and I needed a place to deal with my wounds." Rouge walked to the small grey refrigerator and grabbed a water bottle. Rouge also grabbed the medical kit and called Envie over to her to help address her wound. "Hey watch it that stings," Envie hissed as alcohol was being applied to the area. Rouge wrapped it up in ointment, quickly getting up and plopping on the couch.

"So, let's talk," Envie looked at the two women, "seeing as I'm new, we don't really speak." "And," Rouge asked. "We don't know a whole lot about each other, like about the fact that Rouge was with a boy earlier." Rouge immediately rolled her eyes, "None of your concern is what it is." Envie turned to the other woman in the room, "And what's with you having a maid, you rich or something?" Wynter turned her head in the other direction, "Why the hell are you so talkative?"

"Growing up with a sister will sorta do that to you, I talked to her a lot," Envie answered. "Talked," Rouge repeated, "what she disappear or something?" Envie slightly chuckled, "Nah, Empriss got her." Rouge responded with a quiet "oh". "So, the boy," Envie asked. "Just someone I know," Rouge vaguely responded. Envie didn't question her any further and turned to Wynter once again, "So rich bitch huh?" Wynter looked at the girl and bluntly responded, "Maybe."

As time passed Rouge and Envie succumbed to slumber, and Wynter just walked around. Envie got her thinking about her problems. As her thoughts swirled her mind, she couldn't help but think of them.

Flashback ↬

"C'mon you got to take it easy," he cooed. Wynter rolled her eyes and patted her stomach, "I know, but they can't find us, those bitches." "Hey no negativity around my baby," he responded with a pout. She laughed at his silly antics and leaned in for a quick peck. He responded happily and kissed his pregnant wife, "We'll be okay I promise."

End↬

She laughed as a tear rolled down her face, "I miss you my lovelies."
