Chapter 67 Masters And Apprentice

Yang Bao was awakened by the sharp pain on his face. He slowly opened his eyes and found himself in a room. His left eye can see clearly, but his right eye sees nothing. He touched his eyes with his right hand. His eyes were terribly swollen. He felt sore all over. Then he heard the door open.

Ping'an walked forward and said, "You're awake." She placed the water basin on the table.

Yang Bao saw a little girl standing beside Ping'an. Yang Bao said softly, "Tingting."

Xiao Mei looked at Yang Bao oddly and replied, "I'm not Tingting, my name is Xiao Mei."

Yang Bao looked the Xiao Mei again and he murmured, "Xiao Mei." He looked at Ping'an. "Thank you, kind lady."

Xiao Mei, "This is big sister Ping'an."

Ping'an asked, "What happened?"

Yang Bao was reluctant to say it, but his tears could not hide his tongue. Finally, he said with trembling lips, "The innkeeper of Dragon Inn said I stole the money from the guests." He cried. "I swear I didn't steal anything." He watched his red tears on his hands.

Ping'an took out a handkerchief and wiped his tears, "Ah Bao, please stop crying. If you continue to cry, the medicine under your eyes will be washed away."

Yang Bao asked, "How do you know my name?"

Ping'an smiled and said, "You forgot, many years ago, you were our waiter, do you still remember the gold ingot?"

Yang Bao said, "The rich homeless man..."

Xiao Mei said, "Big sister Ping'an wants you to have breakfast with us."

Yang Bao asked, "Are you sure?"

Xiao Mei said, "Yes, that's why I came."

When Yang Bao came to the breakfast table, he saw four men staring at him.

Zhao Renshu asked, "Ah Bao, I remember you wanted to be a Guozhao hunter many years ago, right?"

Yang Bao nodded.

Zhao Renshu looked at Yang Bao and said, "The Guozhao hunters agreed to accept you as their apprentice."

Yang Bao was startled. He said, "Apprentice, really?"

Zhao Renshu, "Yes."

Guo Baiyu asked, "After you learn martial arts, do you want revenge?"

Yang Bao shook his head.

Guo Baiyu asked, "Why not?"

Yang Bao looked at Guo Baiyu and said confidently, "I don't like killing people. If I can avoid it, I'd rather avoid it."

Guo Baiyu looked at Yang Bao and said sarcastically, "You are a coward."

Ping'an pointed at Guo Baiyu and said, "This is your first master Guozhao Baiyu." Then she pointed to Zhao Renshu. "This is your second master, Guozhao Renshu." She pointed to Fang Yaoting. "This is your third masters, Fang Yaoting." She pointed to Lee Dachin. "This is your teacher, Lee Dachin." She pointed at Guozhao Zhiqiang. "This is your senior brother, Guozhao Zhiqiang." Ping'an smiled at him. "Would you like to accept these as teachers?"

Yang Bao slowly knelt on the ground in front of the four men. He looked at them with tears in his eyes and said, "I never dreamed that someone would be willing to be my master in this life. I used to want to join a sector, and they would reject me because of my appearance." He kowtowed three times. "Thank you." He looked up at the four. "Masters, please accept me as a apprentice." He kowtowed to the floor, refusing to raise his head.

Guo Baiyu said, "If you want to be our apprentice, just raise your head and listen carefully."

Yang Bao quickly looked up at Guo Baiyu.

Guo Baiyu said, "Being our apprentice, you should not have greed in our hearts. We do not form factions and do not compete with the six sectors. As our apprentice, you must swear an oath to protect the weak and the powerless with a clear conscious. For the rest of your life, you might not have any fame or fortune, are you willing to accept these conditions?"

Yang Bao looked at Guo Baiyu and said, "I am willing to accept all these conditions."

Zhao Renshu said, "Hey kid, you must accept these conditions willingly. If you don't comply in the future, you will be severely punished."

Yang Bao said, "I won't regret it."

Ping'an picked up the teacup and handed the teacup full of tea to Yang Bao. Yang Bao took the teacup and handed it to Guo Baiyu. He smiled and said, "First master." Zhao Renshu laughed, "You are our apprentice now, you must study hard and don't let us lose face."

Yang Bao said, "I will not embarrass you, please be patient."

Fang Yaoting looked at Yang Bao and said, "You learn basic skills from me first." He looked at Guozhao Zhiqiang then Yang Bao. "See you in the peach garden on Peach Blossom Mountain before sunrise tomorrow."
