After that battle, Al was beside her till she recovered. Their love had grown so much that didn't even know. 


Al was declared an hero of the battle. He led the enemies in one spot and gave them a tactical advantage. Man in the Middle. He was given a promotion and allowed to go home. 


He couldn't leave alone. How could he? 


 "Lila," Al called on a cold evening, the evening before his return to Eden. "Al, you'll be leaving tomorrow?" Lila said in a sad tone. "Yes. But I'm not leaving without you." Al held her hands tight and pulled her close. She willingly gave in. 


They stared at each other's eyes, it made her tear not the staring though, they kissed warmly. 


"They don't deserve you. These men treat you like an animal. Call me selfish but I want you for myself. You could hide with me to Horsford. No one will force you to the front lines there. We could even get married there," 


"Yes. Yes I want that. All of it," She embraced him tightly.
