“After this house, we’ll call it quits for the night.” Blade whispers to Zadie, hoisting himself through the open window.

Blade ensures the room is secure before assisting Zadie inside.

Just like the other houses they searched, this one is also quiet, appearing to be abandoned.

“Won’t Frank be back to get us soon?” Zadie asks as she wipes dirt from her dress.

“No, he’d only come if we asked someone to call for him.”

“So we’re stuck here until we find the mirror?” Zadie meets Blade's eyes.

“If we don’t report back to headquarters by tomorrow afternoon, my father will know something is up; he’ll send backup.”

Blade moves to the next room, not giving her a chance to respond.

Peeking out the window, Zadie looks to the sky. The sun has begun setting, casting dark shadows over the town.

Zadie closes her eyes, focuses them, opening them again. Then, turning around, seeing Blade’s body is now radiating a light red color as he exits a nearby room.
