Just an octopus?

Lucas passed his phone over to Sam the picture of the sewer monster showing on the screen. Sam unlike Lucas didn't believe the rumors after seeing the picture as the picture was too blurry to be deemed as proof of the monster being real, plus to Sam it just looked like a green octopus as it had tentacles after all.

"Lucas are you sure it's not just an octopus?" .

"It's not octopuses are not bright green after all!"

Lucas exclaimed.

Sam then got frustrated and raised his voice. "Look it has tentacles it's got to be an octopus not a monster... monsters do not exist!"

"It is not an octopus Sam it's got to be a monster octopuses do not live in the sewer and do not come out of toilets." Lucas angrily said he could not believe Sam wouldn't believe monsters were real.

"Well you can believe whatever you choose to... I guess." Sam paused and sighed the continued talking "I for one will not believe the rumors as there is no such thing as monsters." Sam could not believe that his closest friend would dare believe monsters were real after seeing a photo which for all he knew could be photo shopped.

Sam who had enough of talking about a silly monster which of course does not exist decided to dig to the bottom of his bag in search of more food to eat.

Sam was triumphant in his search as he pulled at a bag of chips. Opening them and Munching on them as soon as they were in his hands.

The rest of the day passed slowly as Sam and Lucas refused to speak to each other after their little disagreement.

Sam was now walking to the bus stop it was still cold like the morning but luckily the wind had died down and Sam made sure not to miss his bus this time.

When he arrived home he was greeted by a brown furry ball of fluff who was bouncing at his feet.

"Hello Milo." Sam greeted his excited puppy while patting him on his head.

Sam picked Milo up and hugged him tight and preceded to walk further into his home untill he reached the kitchen where he put Milo down and bumped into his older sister.

"How was school?" Cassie cheerfully asked.

"It was alright unpart from how I had an argument with Lucas."

"Oh what caused the argument?" Cassie's cheerful tone was now gone she was worried that her brother had a falling out with Lucas. She thought Lucas was a good kid even though he was only two years younger than herself.

Sam noticed that Cassie was worried so he tried to bring back her cheerfulness by telling her about what caused the argument and joking around about the rumor of the sewer monster which Sam believed to be just an octopus.

After a couple of jokes Sam's tactic seemed to work Cassie was now Laughing her head off.
