Ken's Point of View

"Dainty, I'm really sorry, it's just that they gave me so much money."

When Jake said that I immediately pushed his body towards the wall and landed a punch in his face. I do not know how many times I punched him. I just feel like punching him real hard as all my anger came out of my whole body.

"Mr. Kendrix!" Vincent said and pulled Jake away from me. When he successfully pulled Jake away from me, he suddenly punched him three times and pushed him against the wall more.

"You bastard! You killed my friends just because of money?!" Vincent shouted furiously.

He was about to shot Jake so immediately stopped him. "That's enough Agent V. Call our other agents to pick him up. He had to speak and say what he knew." I ordered and he punched Jake again before letting him go.

Just a few minutes later, some of my staff arrived and picked up Jake. Before they left, I told them not to stop hurting that person until he spoke. I even told Vincent to go with them. Dainty, on the other hand, has been sitting quietly in the living room until now.

I sat in front of her and spoke. "The reason why I came here is because I have a lead that the man living here is the suspect of the explosion. And I also found out that you are here. Dainty, I beg you. You need to leave this place. Go somewhere far away, you're not safe here."

I can't believe I'm begging someone like her. Renz is the first person I beg with my entire life. I can't believe this woman is second on the list.

She looked straight into my eyes. "Ken Montero, I will not speak against what I have found out, about the agents, your death threats and everything. Please, I really do not want to leave. I don't care if you kill me here, I still won't leave."

She is really a hard headed.

"But I have a request for you." She added and I was slightly surprised.

What does she need now?

"Ken Montero, please let me join in your secret organization."

It was afternoon when I arrived at the office. As I was walking in the lobby, I bumped into a woman and her handbag fell on the floor.

"Oh my, sorry!" Se said as we picked up her belongings that scattered on the floor. But what caught my attention was the black rose that was among her belongings that fell. She immediately picked it up and put it in her bag.

"I'm really sorry, I'll be careful next time!" She said but I didn't answer. I am too focused about something else right now.

That rose. Why does she have it? What does she have to do with what is happening? I got up and smiled at her as if I had seen nothing.

"Oh my gosh! Ken! I did not know that it was you!" She said cheerfully and smiled sweetly. I smiled back. She's familiar, I think I saw her somewhere else.

"You're the woman in the café and the hospital, right?" I asked to make sure that it was really her.

She smiled broadly. "Yep, that was me. I'm glad you remember me."

It's really her, the crazy one.

"How are you? The past weeks were surely a torture for you but do not worry, everything will be okay too, hopefully wherever RD is now, he will be happy." She said and patted me on the back. I glanced at her hand on my back, when she noticed that I am looking at her hand, she immediately pull her hand out and laughed awkwardly.

"Sorry again! That's just really my h-habit. Yes, that's my habit!" She said while stuttering a bit. I was about to speak again when I saw her murmuring something that I don't understand.

I smiled at her again so she will not feel awkward. "That's fine and thank you. By the way, what's your name again?" I asked while still smiling. When I asked her that, she suddenly blushed and smiled foolishly.

"Huh? I mean, Xariya! Xariya Andraste!" She said while blushing but still manage to shook hands me. I can't help but feel how warm and soft her hands is. Idiot! Come on, you are not here to flirt!

"I just used the comfort room here so I'll get going now..." She said when we finished shaking hands.

"Bye, Ken! See you around!"

After she bid her goodbye. She also said she's going to the mall to meet with someone. I don't know who will it be, maybe her friend or boyfriend or something I don't even care. I looked at her way again and saw her talking to someone on the phone. So maybe she really has a boyfriend. When I entered my office, I immediately called Vincent.

"Agent V, are you with Dainty there in the agent's office?" I greeted him with a question.

[Yes, Mr. Kendrix. The suspect also spoke.] He answered politely and I felt relieved with what he said.

"Good. Don't kill him." I paused and sighed before saying what I really want to say right now. "I don't think Dainty needs a bodyguard anymore so I have a new mission for you to do."

[What is that, Mr. Kendrix?] His voice sound excited. This agent of mine really loves having a mission but it's kinda sad because he is all alone now.

"Know about this Xariya Andraste. Watch her every move too. She got the rose like we saw in the suspect's bag. I don't know if her life is in danger or we are the ones who's in danger with her. All I know is that she knows Dainty. I will go to the AO (Agent's Office) later. Wait for me there." I said and turned off the call.

I do not have much work to do now so I opened a bottle of wine and drank it until I felt tipsy. My life is getting messy again. I do not know when will this stop or will it ever stop?

It was almost night when I arrived at the A.O because of the intense traffic and I had to rest for a bit for drinking a while ago because I do not want to go here drunk. I saw Dainty and Vincent who were walking inside a more like gymnasium where other agents were practicing.

"Agent V. Start with your mission." I said when I got close to them. Vincent immediately nodded and left. That's why I'm the one who toured Dainty inside the A.O. She did not complain so I got some peaceful time.

"Being an agent is not a joke, are you sure that you will still do this?" I asked her as we stopped here in a part of the gymnasium where other agents were practicing how to shoot.

"I told you that I am not a coward so yes, I will do this." She answered with much determination. I nodded and watched whoever was in front of us now. I remember how she held that knife earlier, she seemed to know how to handle it in the right position and how to point at the opponent.

"Dainty, the way you handled the knife earlier against Jake, did my cousin taught you about that?" I asked because I'm curious.

She shook his head. "No, he didn't."

But it seems like she was used to it.

"Where and when did you learn that?" I asked again, feeling more curious now.

"I don't know either. Maybe I'm a police officer back then in my past life?" She joked but I didn't laughed, I can't laugh when I am this curious. I never asked a question again and just changed our topic.

"You know what, my cousin, he shot the best of us all. He always beat me when it comes to shooting." I said and smiled when I remembered my one-on-one against him. I admit that I am good, but he's better.

Dainty smiled but I can see the pure sadness in her eyes. "I don't know that. I thought he was just a normal person with a normal life.

"He really wants a normal life. He even became an engineer." I laugh at my answer.

We talked a few more things about Renz. Some time later another agent came and handed me something.

"Mr. Kendrix, this is the suit for the agent you are talking about." He said and handed the suit.

"Thank you, Ivan."

"By the way Mr. Kendrix, What are we going to do with Agent RD's belongings here? Should I sign it all off?"

When he said and asked that, I looked at Dainty who was busy watching other agents doing their practice. We are not just shooting here. There's a lot more.

"No. I have plans for that." I replied. Ivan, the agent I was talking to immediately nodded and left as well.

"Dainty, this is your suit. Wear it if you want to start practicing. Just tell me when, I will handle you myself." I told her. She stared at the suit I handed her and looks so amused. Of course she should, the suits here are expensive as hell and I'm not bragging, but I can afford it.

"Really?" She asked in shock.

"Of course. There's still kindness left in me and by the way, from now on you will be the one to hold Renz's place here." I added and she was more shocked.

"Huh? What do you mean by that?"

"From now on, you will be Agent RD." And her mouth dropped open.
