I had remembered really late into my mini-vacation that I had told Beau that I’d go to his soccer game on Sunday. With all the events that happened, there are perfect reasons that I forgot: Clem, Jazz, and Lily’s surprise visit, me stressing about them sharing my secrets, me sneaking out of town, the list goes on and on.

Of course, I never promised that I’d go but I would feel really terrible if I told him that I would go and then not show up.

I like to stick to my words as much as possible, especially since he was so genuinely kind to me when everyone else was outcasting me.

“Are you sure those Lunarians won’t yap?” Ana spat, putting emphasis on Lunarians.

“They have names, Ana. And no, I’m not sure they won’t tell. I just hope for the best.” I sighed.

“Hope won’t keep you alive when those bastards decide to retaliate against you because you’re a human!” Ana growled out. Her breathing was heavy and she was trembling in anger.
