Jasmine Hutton feels like she does not belong in this world as she is always left out. In school, students treat her like riffraff after befriending her. And that caused her self-esteem shuttered, insecurities, and the trust that was slowly building up for everyone to collapse in just a day. 
Jasmine was delighted as she still had her Tia Cecil on her side even though her aunt didn't know anything. However, Jasmine was getting suspicious after she figured out something about herself. That also encompasses their sudden move from their house into an unalike place.

Suddenly, my body flew in the air. It was like everything slowed down. I felt a hot hand holding my waist tightly. I looked up and saw a higher level of demon: their skin was burned to black, but there was a bit of fire in their skin. They have no eyes, but their sharp teeth were visible, and also the shape of their nose is not like any one of us, and it only has two holes. 


I saw Cadmus trying to hold my hand before I went far from him, but some of the demons appeared on both of his sides; they held him back, trying to stop him from flying. 


I can’t see him anymore because the demons surround him. I didn’t realize that I am shouting because of fear. 


I closed my eyes tightly; I heard everything. I felt everything. I smell everything. I opened my eyes, and even though my eyes were covered with tears, I still saw what was happening.
