I was startled, and my eyes widened. My heartbeat suddenly went fast as I heard what he said. I didn’t respond right away because it was as if my throat had suddenly dried up. 


He opened his eyes and looked at me. The sunlight hit his eyes, and I can see the details in the iris. My lips parted. It’s just like there are lines of electricity in it. 


He said it clearly, and I heard him. Not that I still like him. I just didn’t expect this. I remembered when I transferred to my previous school. I was in Grade 8 at that time, and Jasper transfer when we were in Grade 9. But after I got hurt, I accepted that I got played and moved on. I don’t want to look stupid. 


I sighed. “I-I’m sorry… b-but—” 


“Jasmine!” I turned to Reina nearing.
