Chapter Seven: First Impression

**Kyla's POV**

I did as she commanded. I went to class, bowed my head, and focused solely on my books.

Bad luck seemed to be trailing behind me, the teacher had an incident and couldn't make it to class so everyone had express opportunity to gossip making me the center of their discussion. They made a note to ensure I heard everything, openly talking about me like I was such a terrible person.

**Poor Riley.**

A girl began. I searched my bag for my earpiece. I groaned when it was no where it sight. I must have it at home. I got distracted this morning.

**I'm so glad she learned of her so called friend's true colours. I can't believe Kyla would be capable of something like that.** The other girl added, barely ten feet away from me.
