One Message Received...
From: Queen ❤️
I'm here at the coffee shop.
Received: 2:30 pm
When Kheene read the message, he immediately got up and left the office. He first approached his secretary's desk before leaving.
"Secretary Anj, I'll just leave for a while. It's up to you to explain to papa when he looks for me." He did not wait for his secretary to answer and left immediately.
Because the coffee shop that his girlfriend was referring to was nearby, he did not bring a car. He just walked until he got there.
When he entered, he first adjusted his long sleeves before approaching his girlfriend quietly waiting for him. He seriously sat in front of her.
"Kin—"
"Why didn't you tell me that you agreed to that invitation to be a model abroad?" Kheene asked his girlfriend
She took a deep breath before answering, "I was going to tell you the day I agreed. But, I was busy at that time so I forgot to tell you." She explained
"How 'bout the next day? I found out you had a day off then, why didn't you still tell me?" he asked his girl again, but she did not answer. "Soph, tell me. Why didn't you tell me? Why do I have to know that from my dad—"
"Why do you have so many questions? Do you need to know all my actions? Do I always have to tell you?" her question irritated him
He stumbled and couldn't believe looking at the person he was talking to. "I am your boyfriend, isn't that reason enough for me to have the right to know that? I just want to know why you didn't tell me. Why did you immediately agree? Why didn't you consult me first before you accept— "
"Enough! Stop asking, will you? You just keep asking, and I don't want to answer anymore. I'm sorry..." Sophie said
For a few minutes, the two remained silent. They were just sitting there while thinking about… nothing. Until Kheene broke the silence.
"You agreed. How about us? How about our relationship? Don't tell me—"
"I'm breaking up with you ..." His girlfriend said seriously
He immediately stopped talking. Shocked looking at the girl, while trying to understand the last thing she said to him.
I'm breaking up with you...
I'm breaking up with you...
I'm breaking up with you...
It repeatedly circulated in his brain. Looking for a hole where it can come out.
"W-What?" the only thing he said
"I'm breaking up with you, Kheene ... I'm sorry." She repeats what was said earlier
He wiped his hand on his face, then couldn't believe looking at her. "Why?" he asked
"I'm leaving the day after tomorrow. Kheene, maybe when I get there I'll be busy right away. I might not be able to allocate time and attention for you, and that could be the reason for our fight. So while it's early I just want to do it. " She explains
He was depressed but he still managed to smile, "no, no. I don't agree with what I want—"
"Kheene, please ..."
He shook his head, "no. I don't want to—"
"Kheene, if we are still fighting here, what if I am far away from you." The girl held the young man's hand, "I'm sorry, Kheene. But I think this is the end of our relationship. I'm sorry, I hope you can forgive me."
When the girl said that, she left him alone. His hand was still resting on the table, as he stared at the emptiness and seemed selfless.
He stayed in the coffee shop for a few more minutes before getting up and leave. When he returned to the office, he poured everything there. All pain, resentment and annoyance.
'Why do we end up like this?'
Many questions came to his mind, but all he could do now was to get lost and scatter in his own office.
"Sir Kheene, what are you doing—"
"Out!" he shouted at his secretary that he did not realize had entered. "I said, get out!"
Still confused, his secretary choose to leave him alone. He sat down on the swivel chair and then slammed the table. He did not care about the pain in his hand, because for him, his heart is in pain more.
"Why do we have to end like this?" he asked tearfully then bent over the arms resting on the table. "Three years. We've been in a relationship for three years, why did you let go that easily?"
Finding the answer to the questions that were on his mind, he did not realize that he had fallen asleep.
