Save Log 14: The Blacksmith’s Helping Hands (Final Part)

~Day 11

Noon;Time:12:02 PM~

The shop is busy like usual. Customers coming and going. Some of them just left the store looking at stuff and stood outside the shop. Lina took care of them from disturbing Zefira and Sylfia.

‘Cling!’

“Welcome to the Grodmin’s Weapon and Arm…” I was greeting the new customer entering the shop but stopped mid-way after seeing the person standing before me. The woman who keeps brags me to give a discount.

“Hoi, it’s me. I heard ya got sales in the store.”

“Yes, we are having a sale until the Harvest Festival.”

“Hmm, nice, nice. That means t’is sword is on sale too!” she picked up the sword she brags about. A nice silver gladius sword. The handle was made of iron and had a ruby attached to the center. It’s a pretty expensive shortsword

“Yes, that’s also on sale. About 35% discount. You can buy it for the price you always wanted to buy.” I replied.

“Yes! Finally, after all t’is time. I can buy t’is. 2,000 ‘zuls then.”

“I guess. It’s 1850 Azuls now.”

“I will take it. Now, what shall I name t’is beauty? I know, Excalibur!”

“That’s illegal. You can’t name a normal sword Excalibur.”

“Tsk, fine. I have no choice then. Death strika. Yes, sounds menacing enough.”

“Con-congratulations for getting the sword you always wanted.” Furara congratulated her.

“Yes, it’s a great day indeed. Now, where is the name tagger?”

“Name tagger?”

What is that thing? Wait, that sounds like that item from Mine n Craft.

“I want to name my precious partner. Of course, I need a name tagger for this. Or else no one can see the name before they get slain.”

That’s freaking dark. But, does our shop have name taggers or something?

“Hang on I’ll be right back.” I left the shop and searched for Sylfia. She was standing beside Zefira wearing the helmet.

“Oh, niisan. Do you need anything?”

“Sylfi, do we have any name tagger or something like that?”

“Well, yes, I made about 200 of them for the sale. This will be a free gift for those who want to name their weapon. Wait, don’t tell me....you didn’t give any name tagger until now niisan?”

It’s not my fault! No one told me about this. I never knew name taggers existed in this world or not! Grodmin didn’t tell anything about this free offer.

“I am sorry. I didn’t do it.”

“Jeez niisan. You might have made many people go to the other blacksmith’s shop to get the name tagger.”

That would be troublesome. Sylfia then showed me where the name taggers were. It’s now probably useless since we only have 3 days left until. The assassin woman named her sword Death striker. She paid for the sword and I handed the money to Furara and she gave her the change. The woman left the shop feeling satisfied and joyful.

~Day 14

Afternoon;Time:5:16 PM~

Today was the last day of our operation shopkeeper. Everyone was inside the shop including Grodmin. He finished cleaning, fixing and everything with the farmer tools he was working with 2 days ago. We are gonna close the store right before sunset. Everyone was busy handling the last wave of customers.

“It is a pleasure to meet you Lina-san.” the leader of the Red Swordsmans, holding her hand on his hands as he kissed the back. The party is newly made with a new member of our guild. The leader is the new guy. He joined the guild two days ago. Two males and two females accompanying him. One of the females was a lizardwoman. Party members, I guess.

“Are ya from another country lad? Cuz, we don’t do that in here.”

“Yes, I am from another country. We do this to show our respect.”

Which kingdom has this kind of tradition? Hm...maybe I have seen this kind of gesture before

“Alright, whatever. If ya think you can win me over with that then you are wrong buddy.”

“No, my main goal was to meet you. It really is an honor to meet a neko demihuman like you. I am pleased.”

Neko? Did he say neko or it got translated automatically as usual?

“I would like to buy the finest swords and armors for my comrades.” the guy announced.

“Sure lad, I will show what we have in stock.” Grodmin ordered us to get the remaining finest goods we have. The guy bought about 250,000 Azuls worth weapons and armors. Where the heck did he get that much money in two days? He even gave us 50,000 Azuls as a ‘tip’. He has more money than I thought.

“Aren’t you the new guy that everyone keeps talking about?” said Lina.

“Yes, my name is Godfrey Schwartz. Nice to meet you."

“Yeah, but how did ya get so much money so quickly?”

“I have my secrets. If you want you can join my party. I would be happy to have you on my team.”

“Lad, if ya are done buying, I suggest you leave the shop. There might be other customers for us to serve.” Grodmin said to the guy.

“I too think we should leave the shop Frey.” one of his comrades said to him.

“Oh yes, I am sorry about that. I will be leaving then. If you want you can join my party whenever you like.”

The guy turned around and headed for the exit/entrance with his party. He stopped by the door and turned around. What the heck does he want?

“....Do you need anything?” Grodmin asked.

“Huh? Oh no. Not at all. I was just..anyway, let’s leave my comrades.”

“Ohh!”

They finally left the shop. The bell rang as they opened and closed the door.

“Alright, I guess that was our final customer. I am glad that you managed to sell almost three-quarters of the goods. Good job everyone.”

“Yaay!” everyone cheered.

“Do ya want to celebrate this huge success in a fancy restaurant Ojisan?”

“Hmm, I will think about it.”

“Why not just enjoy it at home? Sylfia and Zefira make pretty good food. Well, I do want to enjoy some delicious food in a fancy restaurant too.”

You crazy food lover.

“Why don’t we buy the ingredients at the market and make the food ourselves. There is a saying right? Happiness is home-made.”

“Yeah, I guess that’s true. Well let’s go buy the ingredients then. I want to have grilled river carp with soya sauce and rice. Maybe some beef too.”

“I want to have something nice too.”

“I can eat anything as long as it’s edible. But I will drink poison if my master says so.”

“No! I wouldn’t do that and don’t do that ever!”

“I want to have three smoked grilled cuckler, stir fry, honey-filled bread and a bowl of rice....I-I am sorry. Fo-forget what I just said.” said Furara after she noticed me glaring at her.

“Nope, it’s fine. In fact, I want to eat a bowl of rice. Just don’t take anything from me.”

“Oh, ok. I won’t.”

After discussing what we wanted to eat, we closed our shop and headed for the market area. The Harvest Festival was no doubt going to be held tomorrow.
