After failing and being embarrassed in front of the whole school,Zoey comes back home with a heavy heart. As an early birthday present her father bought her a puppy, only to tell her that he won't be able to make it to her birthday party. After all this sadness and  heartbreak, she finds herself outside with her new best friend in the shade of the oakwood tree. 

Today this tree looks different, a large portal is opened behind it. Gel-like substances spill out from the portal. Zoey's puppy,Jewels, gets suck inside. With determination to save her puppy she follows suit. 

Entering a new world filled with wild and deadly animals, Zoey must use the very little survival skills she has to make it out alive. She meets someone who lives there, among the animals, Lopus. She and him work together to not only find Jewels but to also save this magical forest. 

While on journeying, Zoey discovers that the magic isn't only around her but also within her. Her family history runs deep in the forest and she is now a magical being. Will Zoey find her beloved puppy and make it out? Will she save the forest from a deadly power?

The Opening

My brows furrow in confusion, then suddenly in a fast motion I feel tingles through my body, running from my head to the tip of my toes, and everything around me started growing larger. 


I did not have time to register what was happening because I hear a whoosh sound above my head. Then a water bolt passes above me aimed ahead of me. Grass blades creep under my arms and along my legs. I turn to look in the direction of the water bolt and realise that even Lupus looks way bigger than me. Just minutes ago we were the same height! 


He looks very confused and unaware of what to do. I wave my hands in an attempt to warn of the danger -which I bet he can clearly see. "Lupus duck!" I scream the same words he said to me just seconds ago, but he still does not look like he can hear me, because seconds later, the bolt hits him and he falls backwards on the ground.
