Chapter 9

Desire's point of view

CLINK. CLINK. CLINK.

That's the sound that wakes me up from my drug induced sleep. eyes open, I can't seem to recognize my surrounding.

I notice that I'm lying on something soft, which happens to be a bed. Weird. I was expecting to wake up chained up or something. The creak of the door opening snaps me out of my scouting.

"Great. You're awake" The relief in her voice, I can't seem to understand. She should be angry and want to torture me.

"Where am I?" Really. Knowing your whereabouts won't change your situation. My subconscious Sasses at me.

"You are at my place. Don't bother screaming, running or doing anything stupid because no one will hear you. We are literally on the outskirts of the city and it just so happens to be the only house located on this land".

The smirk on her face is pissing me of.

"Perks of being rich you know." Her saying that just proves she is as cocky as any other person with money. Asshole.

"What are you planning to do to me?" If she plans to kill me I suggest that she gets it done quickly. I don't want to feel no pain.

"If you are going to kill me please just put a bullet through my head or snap my..."

"I'm not going to kill you" she says. The incredulous look on her face is so surprising. She's looking at me as if I've just said water is solid.

"If you're not going to kill me then why am I here?" Seriously. There's no way that she is letting me go unless she's...

"If you even think of selling me off to be a sex slave then you are going to be gravely embarrassed". I AM NEVER EVER GOING TO ALLOW ANYONE TO TOUCH MY BODY WITHOUT MY PERMISSION.

Her laughter shocks the living hell out of me.

"You are very funny." She says. What am I, a comedian? I might have just found my future profession.

"I'm not going to sell you or hurt you." She says. Shocking me again. Now I have no idea what she plans to do to me so I'm doomed.

"But," she continues "that doesn't mean I'm going to let you go either." Go figure.

"Then what are you going to do to me?" Seriously. She is making my brain go haywire and I don't think I have enough brain cells to spare.

"I'm going to keep you here. With me. Until I learn everything there is to know about you. And you know everything there is to know about me." That right there is the icing on the cake. Her calling my name is the last thing I hear before I'm engulfed by darkness. Again.

Alex's point of view

I catch her body before it hits the floor. Tony was right. I should have been more delicate with informing her about her involuntary stay at my place. I thought I was as delicate as delicate can get. Guess I'll have to work on that.

Laying her back on the bed I head to the kitchen to get her a glass of water knowing she'll need it. Thank God I was standing near her or she would be waking up with a nice shiner right on her forehead. That wouldn't be good for her but perfect for my entertainment. Damn. I'm such an asshole.

"I'm guessing she took the news rather well" Antonio says scaring the glass out of my hand.

"Dude" I snap "couldn't you have announced your presence?" Bending to pick up the shards of glass I glare at him.

"Sorry" he says with a sheepish grin. He's so lucky he's my best friend or God so help me.

"Well she's passed out on my bed so I don't think she 'took it rather well' " I sass.

"I told you to be more delicate. No one would accept the fact that their entire life was about to be controlled by a maniac" he chastises

"I'm not controlling her life. Or trying to" seriously. I'm not.

"Then what exactly are you trying to do? You are keeping her here against her own will. Why don't you just kill her already?" He asks with a suspicious look.

I could never kill her even if I wanted to. There's something about her that won't allow me to end her life. No one will understand the fact that I'm still here because of her.

"You're getting soft on me A."

Him saying that is the last thing I can comprehend before I'm seeing red and my hand is wrapped around his neck.

"NEVER. EVER. REPEAT THAT SHIT IN YOUR LIFE. EVER" I let go of his neck and skip the steps all the way to my room.

Locking the door I lean on it. I look at Desi's sleeping face which calms me.

Her perfect eyelashes. Her full pink lips. The beauty spot she has on her left cheek. All those features make her the most beautiful person in this world.

Walking closer, I sit on her bed. Her little snores are so cute. Caressing her left cheek with the back of my hand wakes her from her slumber.

Sitting on the bed and caressing her cheek were both bad ideas because the first thing she does when she sees me is spring off the bed and landing, yes, you guessed correct, right on her ass.

"Ouch" she says so softly that I would have missed it if I wasn't paying attention.

"Are you okay?" I ask

"What kind of question is that? Of course I'm not okay." She Sasses "would you be okay if you were kidnapped and your captor informs you of your forceful stay in their stupid home?"

"Hey. My house is not stupid" that was just insulting.

"Is that the only thing you heard?" She asks with an incredulous look. I'm sure she thinks I'm stupid now. I'll show her that I'm smarter than she thinks.

"If you insult me or my house one more time I'm going to gag you and put you on time out"

'Time out? Really what is she, five?' My subconscious Sasses

"Time out? What do I look, five?"

'See. Now she really thinks you're stupid. Way to go Alex.' Says my subconscious.

"You know. For a drug dealer you really are a softie. I was expecting scary" big mistake.

In three steps I find myself in her face.

"You want scary? I'll show you scary"

Lifting her over my shoulder I take her out the room and head downstairs. She's not going to call me soft after this.

"Put me down. You hooligan" she screams while smacking my back.

"Hitting me isn't going to help you" I say. I see Antonio approaching. Guess all the commotion was hard to ignore.

"A. where are you...

" shut up Antonio" walking past him I head to the torture room.

Dropping her hard on the floor I bend to her level and stare right at her face. The fear I see on her face should have been satisfying but it's actually the opposite.

She called this upon herself.

"Now. Let me show you scary" let the fun begin.
