Chilton walked to where Helena laid unconsciously, her arrows slipped off from her quiver. With steady hands Chilton placed Helena's hand onto one another, and then she picked up an arrow only to drive it deep into Helena’s outstretched hands till it penetrated the ground itself, and blood gushed out grimly. “Now stay down!” she said. Then she walked towards her sister.

Meanwhile Chilonis wasn't in her best of strengths, be it fatigue or the rigours of coma, but all the devices she employed had not been successful in putting the enchantress down, and as Chilton went to the large space, still with aching in her body, she discovered that Chilonis was in a worst condition than she had been, she was being pinned by wisps of mist from the enchantress, Chilton was appalled by the sight, she ran towards her sister with tears streaming down her eyes, with worry in her heart.
