Reality Behind Victors

"Why did you not say that your a member of the Lu family?!" the man unexpectedly punched him in the gut, causing Allen to drop his papers and bow 90 degrees.

"Sir...you didn't...ask me in the past" he said as he breaths out and drool drop on the floor. Ramir just massaged his temple and looks at the man.

"Look here Agent Eden, what Agent Victor said is true, you didn't bother with his family's background and he cut ties with them to begin with so it would be futile to flaunt his connections to the Lu--"

"Lu family treasures their members, even those who have chosen to cut ties, they still see them as family and any harm will inflict the anger of the elders of that family" he drop on his chair and looks at the screen, sees it done, deletes the files on his computer, ejects the USB, and throws it to Ramir.

"There, hold that with all you care and never show that to Agent Ivanov and Agent Oswald, and you.." he points at the staring Allen,

"Never speak about this to any of your family members" he says. He looks at his monitor and access the camera files.

"Which rooms do you want to get?" he asks, trying to regain his calm and trying to drown his mind with work.

"Room 3b and 6a, sir" Allen said as he slowly felt his gut healing as well. Ramir looks at him and had another sigh.

He taps Allen's shoulder, "I'll wait for you" he whispers, Allen response with a nod.

After waiting for 10 minutes, Allen finally came out, seeing the seated Ramir sprang back up.

"So, as I have mentioned earlier, can you tell me about your family's background?" He said as if they were friends. This may or may not help me say more reasons to cancel this interrogation, Ramir thought.

"My mother's parents are the eldest son of the main family of Lu and the 2nd daughter of the old family of Ernest, meanwhile my father is a member of the Nagato family---"

"Wait, your father is the son of the Nagato family? But his last name is Victor"

"Well, father married a European woman in the past, her name was Eliza Victor and she comes from England, she died due to illness and they also bear no child due to the woman's infertility but they loved each other so there's no problem, anyway, my father who burdened himself with unnecessary guilt from her death, he changed his surname into Victor and discarded the name of Nagato behind, he soon marries our mother who understood the events and put it behind her back as well" Allen explained. Such a complicated information, Ramir thought. Nevertheless, knowing that both parents came from a prestigious family, it would be reckless to continue the interrogation of Aileen Victor, it may even incur the wrath of both families if we held the daughter way too long and apply stress to her if we interrogate her.

"I nearly forgot, did you know your sister is currently in the hospital?" Ramir ask. Agents have neither the leisure time nor the power to know how their families are doing, this made him positive that Allen is unaware of where his sister is.

"I simply assumed she's in the hospital but as many know, I neither have the time nor the power to know how she is" and there you have it, Ramir sighed and pushed a paper towards Allen.

"Got this from the female friend of Aileen, she filed a lost report in lieu of the unconscious person in worry" Allen looked at the paper in confusion of why would Aileen's friend file a lost report till he looks at the details of the paper that his mind had run into a mess.

"H-how is it that our parents are missing?" Allen asks, cold sweat run down his back and his mind is nearly on the same state as Aileen's.

Ramir scratched the back of his head and avoids his look, "The only details I got since it was filed by a friend is that the couple went missing probably from the last calling, but with contact of the Gods and Goddesses, they have confirmed that there are neither mortals nor Guides left in heaven so..." Ramir stopped his words and glances at Allen who is in a trance.

"I have to meet Aileen" he stumbles on his steps and hurries to the exit, accidentally bringing his files with him. Ramir looks behind him as if someone is there to help him then looks at where Allen left.

"I don't know what to report now" he muttered on himself.

Allen muttered to himself blindly. What to do? What to do? What if the families takes over? Is that even bad? Aileen won't just be able to move around a lot, but it isn't that bad, right? Handing her over would monopolize the chance but at least her power won't be rampant again. His thoughts are basically all over the place but the last thought made him calm down and think about other things.

The truth of the power of Lu family dates back even before the Guide system. The family regained a favor from one of the Gods. They were given immense wealth, and additional to the oddity, the family born the first odd child, the one who had immense ki well that it was enough to even held control to the exorcism of supernatural before the system of Guide was vetoed by the Gods and Goddesses by many races. Thus, the family continued and still have a power even if we were to remove the Guide system.

When the Guide system came, the God who favored them immediately blessed the family and assigned deities of the same type for each members if possible.

Allen sighed to calm his nerves and went to his car provided by the headquarters. Let's just visit Aileen first...even if she doesn't really want to see me, Allen thought, remembering all he did just to get out of the family and be a stray agent, an agent that is bound to lose all identity and only an empty name meant for calling each other and nothing more.

Rachel breath out as her friend keeps on distracting her due to the sound of her bed caused by constant shuffling.

"Alex is perfectly fine, he's an elite despite how he looks like" she exclaimed out of frustration from the continuous squeaking sounds of the hospital bed.

"I know that, but what if he was held accountable to the damages I created?" she sighs one more time and stands up, approaching the girl with anxiety and flicked her forehead.

"Everyone knew that we came after the flames devoured your house so they won't held him accountable" after the sentence, the door of the room opens, due to the curtain blocking the way, they did not knew who it was and assumed it was their friend.

"So how the---" Rachel stops to her words as she recognizes who it is.

The silhouette came out and Aileen felt her face pale.

"I-it's been a long time, Aunt Celine" The aunt smiled.

"It's really been a long time Aileen, Rachel, wait for a minute, your uncle is just fixing something outside" Celine Lu, wife of Aileen's uncle who used a spell to eliminate the memory of what happened 8 years ago.
