To say that Jody was shocked when she got home to her parents house and they told her Vincent had been suspended for punching his mate would be an understatement.
Her Vincent?
No, Her son was anything but violent
In fact she could never recall him being rebellious for once.
There were times when she actually wondered if he was a normal boy. He never messed up the house or his room. He didn't lie, he was respectful, even when he was angry.
Violent.
Her son wasn't that.
She pulled him onto her lap and stroked his hair. "When are you going to tell mommy what happened in school today?"
"Why? Grandma already told you."
"Why did you hit the boy? What did he say to you?"
He shrugged.
"What did he say? You can tell me anything."
"Mom, you need to rest. Me too. I did lots of equations today and I'm tired." He started to scramble away but Jody held him in place.
