Chapter 3

"Wake your a** up you got stuff to do!!" came the annoying voice of my alarm and my eyes snapped open at the first ring of it, took me years to be able to do this because I love my sleep but here I am, waking up to the first ring of my alarm.

I reached out and shut the annoying thing off, and for the next 5 minutes I sat down on my bed trying to find the problem for the day but I couldn't find any for now so I stood up and entered my bathroom.

I took my time in the bathroom and still searching my brains for a problem to solve for the day and when my brain couldn't find any, I started getting pissed off because solving my problems is a part of me and I have not achieved perfection yet.

When I noticed my self getting angry, I took deep breaths and left the bathroom, I entered my closet and picked the outfit for the day.

I don't have to worry about an outfit to wear, because I always set out my clothes for the week, I like being organized and perfect.

After putting on my outfit which is just a short black skirt and a white croptop, I put on some makeup brushed my hair, took my stuffs and went downstairs to my beautiful family.

When I got downstairs, I was graced with the beautiful site of my mum and dad making breakfast together, that's why I love their relationship, they always help each other, I was looking at them with much adoration when Dad bent down to kiss mum and the events of yesterday came rushing back and I started coughing.

They both looked up at me and started laughing, mum regained her composure first and pointed her spatula at me "early as always".

I looked at her and smiled "you know it mum, now can I have my breakfast?"

She took a plate and put some pancakes on it before she turned to me " yes you can"

Dad brought out the syrup and put some on the pancakes "just how you like it".

I love my family. Mum filled up two more plates and all of us sat down at the table and started eating before mum looked at me and said " you know I'm kinda glad I'm your mum because I don't have to rush to your room every morning and scream at you to get up for school but sometimes I wish I could do that, I would love to do that"

I looked up at her and smiled cause I really had no words, she smiled at me in understanding before asking

"so what is it for today?", Yes they know about my goals, I looked around for a while but I was blank that's a first

"Nothing mum, couldn't come up with anything today" I said and her and dad had very shocked looks on their faces.

Dad turned towards me with wide eyes "are you serious Cara?" and I nodded

"Yes dad" he and mum looked at each other then back at me before dad said " that's a first"

"Yes I know and because I can't go a day without achieving something I decided to do healthy syuff for the day" I looked at both of them

" That's okay, and what's the thing you have to do?" Mum asked while stuffing herself with pancakes, I brought out my phone and checked "eat healthy all day", mum looked at me with uncertainty because she knows I can't stay without junk "oh well.. good luck sweetie"

I stood up, took my bag and phone before giving her and dad a kiss on the cheek "thanks mum, see you both later" and with that I left.

I always walk to school because it's relaxing and also a way of staying fit but most importantly a way of saving money afterall I don't get to buy fuel or pay for the bus.

About 20 minutes later I arrived at school and headed for my locker and when I got there my 3 bestest friends were there waiting for me and that's new because I always get to school before them "hey guys, you are here early", Micheal and sussy looked up from their phones and Micheal smiled at me he isn't much of a talker, sussy pulled me in for a hug

"Ye girl thought we wanted to surprise you" and we both laughed.

But Michelle never looked up from her phone so I tapped her and she snapped her head up she looks tired "hey mich are you okay?" She looked at me then at her phone before putting a fake smile on her face

"Yes I'm fine just tired, I'll be heading to my class now I'll see you guys later" and she left before any of us got the chance to question her further.

I turned towards Micheal "what's up with her" he looked at the direction she went to and sighed " boy problems" sussy and I looked at each other boy problem? She and Derick has been together for 2 years now so what boy problem?? They're literally the perfect couple I turned towards Micheal

"Don't worry Mike we will talk about it during lunch"

He gave me a grateful smile. Sussy now turned towards me smiling "so what's the deal for the day" ohh.. she was definitely gonna ask that

" none for now so I'm sticking to eating healthy" she looked at me quizzically for a while before slowly nodding her head

" let's get to class"I said and we all went our separate ways because we didn't have any classes together.

The day moved by in a blur and it was already lunch and as usual I was sitting with my friends but this time Michelle isn't her usual bubbly self.

I dropped the spoon of salad I was about to put into my mouth and turned towards hers " Michelle what's wrong with you, you have not been yourself since morning"

she looked at me her eyes were watery " I'm fine cara no need to worry" I wasn't buying that

"Look mich we all are friends, look over there Micheal is worried sick about you" she turned towards Micheal who was looking at her worriedly "and look at sussy she's also worried" and she also looked at sussy who gave her a sad smile and she broke down, we all let her cry her eyes out before we consoled her

"The thing is I think Derick is about to break up with me, the last few weeks we have been fighting a lot and he has been updating a lot of pictures with him and another girl on his Instagram page and each time I ask him about it, he starts a fight with me" Michelle said with tears.

This is why I don't like relationships, because you either get used if you are good like Michelle or you destroy another if you aren't, just like Derick.

"Listen Mich!I know this isn't easy for you, and your relationship with Derick is probably coming to an end, which we hope won't happen. But you need to pull yourself together, Derick isn't really worth your tears with this behavior of his okay? " And I gave her a very tight hug and she hugged me back

"I'm going to kill Derick for this" Micheal finally said with anger lacing his voice

"No Micheal you aren't gonna kill anyone..." I was still taking when an angry Sussy interrupted me

"He isn't killing anyone yet, but Derick is so getting it"

I chuckled nervously " look guys let them settle their differences themselves, people do have problems in their relationships okay"? They both nodded but I know they have probably killed and buried Derick in their minds.

"Alright let's get to class, the bell will soon ring anyways" I said as I stood up packing my books " and mich, you both will sort this out okay? And I'm taking you out for an ice cream date after school" she gave me a weak smile and nodded

" I'm in" both Micheal and sussy said together immediately they heard Ice-cream.

"I didn't ask you guys" I said with an eye roll

"You didn't have to, whereas you need someone to give your ice cream to, you need to eat healthy anyways" sussy said with her face full of dreamy smiles for ice cream, my ice cream.

" whatever" I said and we all left the cafeteria.
