Chapter 10: The Lost Woman and The Cursed Pen

"The claws of the ring in which I turned tore apart all my thoughts." Adrushan said. It was the only sentence that came out of his lips.

He repeated the same sentence, sometimes thoughtfully, sometimes scared, sometimes boldly.

My legs were shaking, every particle of me that touched the cold surface of the floor was numb. Every breath coming out of my trembling lips was sneaking into the mysterious dark air of the environment and disappearing. That bleak truth that permeated my life was being smacked in my face every second. It was dark and cold everywhere. My knees were shaking, my hands were freezing.

I was between two heavy walls. Behind me is Adrushan, who still does not believe in me; in front of me is a hunchback old man who insists that I do not belong here. When the sentence that my ears no longer wanted to hear was heard again, I sighed deeply. I was afraid of putting words together and forgetting them.

"None of us are where we want to belong. And you're not where you want to be. There's a truth, and you don't belong in the Munzevi realm. You're your compass. There will be no guide for you but you, Misha."

My eyes were closed, and the mysterious sentences that the old man had set up seemed to tell me that I was one step closer to the edge of the cliff. I was down on my knees. I couldn't find strength to get up.

"Enough shut up!"I shouted as much as I could. I could feel the old man looking at me, even his eyes getting bigger. I didn't want to face them again and hear the same sentence again.

"You must take this girl through secret passages, Adrushan. Without losing time, leave here." the old man said.

As soon as I caught Adrushan’s eye, I sighed deeply. "I want to get out of here." I said. Distinguishing his glowing black eyes in the dark was like finding a light of hope in the dark.

"Help me."I said helplessly. He drew his eyes from me as if he had accepted defeat. And he knew I was no longer part of the Sorcerer Ohannes ' game. My indolent tears crept down my cheeks; as if my mind was digging into my brain as if it wanted to erase what had happened with its nails. Tie didn't know how to pass , what good would it be if it was nice?..

Will I survive this? Even if I did, how would my life go back to the way it was?

The rustling sounds heard around us came early as a harbinger that we were in the middle of a disaster. I took a deep breath with indescribable fear that engulfed me. As my pulsation accelerated, the Gweni stones that surrounded the sky were burning. I couldn't understand what was going on here, and I didn't want to. I was watching the old man, turning his back and slowly walking away from us with my eyebrows frowned on. I stood up from where I was sitting and rubbed my head. The old man paused, barely trying to turn over his shoulder towards us. As if the indescribable feeling on his face was whispering something's secret.

"You were sent here for a purpose. Findit before they get to that talisman. There's someone running that talisman."

Not understanding what the old man was talking about made me go crazy again.

Even if what he said didn't make sense to me, when I remembered my father and Father Affan, who sent me here, I took a deep breath. The last words of the old man who disappeared said that I had a chance to get out of this world, and I had to take it. I've become conscious of it.

I swallowed and stared at Adrushan, who was slowly approaching me. As my heart beat with the fear of seeing his face, the contractions I felt in my stomach couldn't leave me alone. Refusing to be helpless, it was almost impossible to understand anything from the black irises he had wandered on my face for a few seconds while my body was shaken once again. He grabbed me by the arm and turned me hard towards him, "What the old man said was that you were sent for a purpose... Is there an explanation for that? What's your purpose here, Misha?"

I clenched my fists and felt my nails on my skin with the pain of saying, "Please, let's get out of here!" He didn't react to my cracked voice this time. All he did was drop my arm and take a quick look around.

"Let's go." said. Rolling my eyes, I followed Adrushan, who hurried towards one of the secret passages of Craig's Rocky Hill. The sounds of birds and the syringes of water that reached my ear around me evoked peace that I had not known for a long time. I was quite unfamiliar with this beautiful forest path.., I glided a little over the Craig Rocky Hill. As I looked down the Hill, an expression of admiration settled on my face. There was a big forest between the two regions. There were small, abandoned old settlements. Giant butterflies, lost in different shades of white, were flying on both sides of the imposing trees. I kept looking around in amazement, and I'd never seen butterflies this big before. One side looked darker and scarier, while the other side shone like crystal stones. We had reached one of the secret passages. Through a narrow tunnel, we began to move rapidly in the direction in which the light came. I was terrified that it was so abandoned and quiet when I came down the old wet stairs. Was there any topic or place I wasn't afraid of the truth?

In this narrow passageway, the big door in front of us suddenly opened with Adrushan walking. My prying eyes had already begun to check inside. As I continued on the road with surprise and fear, I also thought about where we were and wanted to get rid of it.

"You," I said to Adrushan. Adrushan paused and turned towards me.

"Do you believe me?"I said with encouragement. He turned his vicious eyes on my shoulder and then looked at me again. "Do you see?" said. I swallowed with a confused expression, nodding in a way that I didn't understand.

I slowly moved my trembling hands across my face as I felt a few drops of sweat accumulated on my forehead.

As I looked over my shoulder, the green leaves that completely covered my black dress proved that I had fallen into the middle of danger.

"Take off your black dress, Misha." he said in a nervous voice. The sense of shame that engulfed my face turned that sentence down. Why would he want me to do that? I didn't know.

"No." I said in a determined voice. Feeling the heavy pressure on my hair, I couldn't be bait for a mystery I didn't know about here. Overcoming the feeling of shame that surrounded my face, I quickly took off the black dress. I shook off myself and touched my hair. I saw my black dress disappear when I was trying to come to my senses. I quickly closed my eyes with this sense of shame that surrounded my body. I was naked in front of a man right now. When I felt his hands on my shoulder, I fell in front of the screaming sounds that ripped from my lips.

"Shh, calm down, okay? If we don't get out of here, you could disappear. They've managed to get into secret passages, poisonous deadly vines."He put the black leather cardigan on my shoulders and " Let's go." he said.

I couldn't predict how far we were walking anymore. One ladder ended and another ladder came up. That's not enough, we were going through long narrow passages. I looked up at the air, which had a depressing atmosphere, and frowned when we finally got rid of the large and cold stone walls.

It was dark, and most things weren't chosen. We were crossing a narrow road. It was pretty creepy, and it seemed to lock us in. I swallowed hard, feeling my lips dry. As I walked along the Stone Road, the light wind that blew made my eyes cry. I stopped, losing all my strength. He looked at me over his shoulder and just looked at my face. I decided not to continue, and I let this endless path swallow me up. He approached me. When he grabbed my arm, I quickly pulled myself back.

"I can walk myself!"I said.

"It all starts now."when he said, he continued on the path he had left unfinished. I was just walking, not knowing which way we were going. When I remembered what the old man said on the Craig Rocky Hill, it made my brain burn again. I kept looking around, very stopped. I looked at Adrushan, leaping from my place, as the sudden loud sound erased all my thoughts.

"What was that?"I said, as my heart continued to beat fast.

He parried his hand with a reckless statement, and again responded with the same reckless statement, "We're out of danger. Zion's here. He's waiting for us in the long bushes," he said, whistling and asking him to come towards us. The flying elephant was making strange noises by lifting its long hose into the sky. How did this elephant know we were here? As I was dealing with mixed thoughts, the flying elephant approached us and began to sit slowly. When Adrushan sat on the elephant, he said, " Are you waiting for an invitation? I think you likehere. If you want to stay, you can stay."he said in a sarcastic tone.

I tried to ride the elephant with shaky steps when it made room for me in the front, going a little behind on the elephant as I continued to look at it without expression.

"Are you ready?"I held my breath, realizing that we were going to fly. When the flying elephant Zion suddenly began to run through the forest, I drew myself closer to Adrian in fear. As we ascended into the sky, I opened my closed eyes and let the light wind hitting my face relax me. The rays surrounding the sunrise made me come to my senses as my naked body warmed up. After a short journey, I couldn't help feeling comfortable when I saw the small settlements.

When the flying elephant Zion slowly descended from the sky, I managed to leave all the bad feelings in the sky. As the elephant came down from the sky, I looked over my shoulder at Adrushan. His soft breath continued to hover over my face, making it easy for my eyes to blink.

"You don't intend to go down?"he said in his thoughtful voice.

I frowned slightly, barely descended from the elephant.

I began to make sluggish steps towards the tree house. As I climbed up the narrow stairs, I realized that Adrushan had not come. I looked back at him. He was chatting to the flying elephant. He was a very interesting man. When my hand went to the door handle, my eyes blinked involuntarily. Finally, I pulled the handle down and inhaled the cool smell from the inside.

I came in with a scrawny sound that my feet made on the floor. My eyes suddenly found the focus of attention: the room I was staying in.

I made my way into the room with waddling steps. I quickly lowered the handle of the door down with tired touches and walked inside. I took off Adrushan's leather cardigan and went to the soft bed. My eyes meet the ceiling, I surrender to my tired eyelids and reach the point where deep sleep ends.

As I opened my interlocking lashes, I looked at Adrushan, who was standing next to me. Standing by the window, Adrushan watched outside in all its glory in the daylight reflected on his face. It's been a long time, and I've never tasted such a deep sleep.

He took out his hands that standing in the pocket of his mustard-colored pants and threw his steps towards me. As weak as he looked away, when he approached me, I realized that he had an imposing body.

"Are you awake?"he said in his smooth voice. His voice was neither thick nor thin.

I said," Yes, " trying to come to my senses.

"For what purpose did they send you here?"he said, going backwards. He gathered his arms against the light brown table on his chest.

As I bit my lips, his eyes contracted, looking at me like I was a criminal person.

"They were talking about a pen. In fact, in a letter my mother left me twenty years ago, she was telling me that a pen was being used for bad purposes by my father Hannan and Father Affan. When I got this letter, they took me to church. I drank holy water in a glass to find that pen. My body was there and in my consciousness, but my soul was in the Munzevi realm." My tearful voice did not allow me to overcome what I had accumulated inside me. "Father Affan led me to a cemetery on the edge of a cliff. And then there was a chest in that grave. When I opened the trunk, I ended up here in your house."

Leon, who opened the ajar door , had witnessed our conversation.

"Why can a pen be so important?"Leon said, with his hand still standing at the door. Adrushan stopped Leon, who tried to enter through the door, realizing that I would not speak.

"Leon, I have business with you." he said, and he grabbed Leon's arm tightly and walked out of the room. I looked at my naked body as I left the soft quilt that I held firmly on me. I was weaker than ever. During my only stay, I cleaned, ate, and got rid of the heavy fatigue on me. As my eyes hurried around the room, I took my steps towards the wooden closet. My trembling hands gave me difficulty as I put the black pants and brown badi I found on me. I threw my hair back, which fell in front of me. I also wore a thick jacket made of animal skin standing on the edge. And in a hurry, I opened the doorof the room. My steps were cowardly and hurried in the direction in which the sounds came. I was witnessing Adrushan and Leon arguing about something. As if a lot of things were happening that I was going to see...

Adrushan and Leon, coming out of the kitchen, were staring at me in surprise.

"Are you listening to the door?" Adrushan said a hard voice

I just shut up, and the knot in my tongue became twist in every sentence of this guy. I pressed my lips together and looked at these two men standing in front of me for a few seconds. They passed me and made their way to the library. As he lowered the handle of the iron door, he said over his shoulder, "You're coming too, Misha." said.

I followed them down the stairs of the library. I grimaced as the creaking wooden floorboards made a big noise under my feet.

When we landed in the library, I was very interested in the incredibly large books on the shelves. It was far above the size of a normal book, and these books were incredibly large. The flattened ceiling of the library overwhelmed the interior. The brown bookshelves and desk didn't appeal to my eye. On the round desk stood the hourglass and cup.

"Sit Down, Misha."Leon said. As I sat in the chair, pulling the chair in front of me, doing what he said, he and Adrushan also stood in front of me.

"Leon and I did some research today in the book with the sacred chain. Looking at the years, twenty years ago, we found that part of page 37 was torn."

I could feel that I would fall into despair again, while what Adrushan said revived doubts in my mind.

"On the solid part of the page, it said that twenty years ago, the woman who claimed not to belong here disappeared."Leon, whose voice sounded thoughtful, slowly got up from the table.

I turned to the papers in front of me and said, "what is this?", looking at mixed names. There were place names and some characteristic landmarks on the parchment paper.

"Map of Ohannes the Sorcerer. “ Adrushan said.

His black eyes hovering over my face were quite disturbing. As Adrushan took a breath as if he could not stand it, he pointed to the map with his hand.

"Part of the torn page said that the cursed pen made from the blood of the daughter of God Adel in The Eisen cemetery disappeared twenty years ago."

Then, leaning towards the table, Leon points to the map and said "On the map of the Sorcerer Ohannes, there is a few information about The Eisen cemetery." .

As I frowned and listened carefully to the two of them, Adrushan pulled out the red-covered book lined up on the shelves and put it on the table. When turning pages one by one, he read the article on the page 15.

"The cursed pen, which was derived ink from the blood of the daughter of God Adel, disappeared when beings from outside the world came into contact with people."

"I'm tired of listening to this nonsense."

I quickly got up from the table and made my way to the stairs. I couldn't take it anymore. I was no different from a stone that had collapsed to the bottom of dirty water. Adrushan, who was watching me with a vicious, sharp look, got up from the table and came towards me.

"The cursed pen and the woman who claimed she didn't belong here disappeared the same day."
