Chapter Thirty_Eight: A deal is a deal (Part two)

He could smell her fear before he laid eyes on her, he could see the change of her aura as they walked in and she locked eyes with both him and his brother. He could see how realization dawned on her as a new day birthed to the creation and he knew that she had hoped that everything had been a dream.

He knew how the living could try and fool themselves daily and he knew that at times they feed themselves too much doubt and tried to rationalize everything that wasn't birthed or created by science or legends written by their past self to try and make them feel better and stronger when they barely even knew the truth about their survival.

Silver had always been one to see things for what they truly were and to always say the truth so that one would not see him as a deceiver even though he was. He always brought pain but he had more of a heart than anything else he just preferred to do things differently than his own brother. His brother protected his identity and avoided the crowd so he could avoid running the crown but he on the other hand preferred it that way it could drown out the souls he always had to steal and burn.

And yet now as he locked eyes on her, he wondered how long it would take for her to break as soon as she entered his realm and left the living beings. He wondered how long it would take before his possessiveness would be forced to step in and burn everything she cared about for her love.

He wondered if she would survive the torment that would come all because she would be his bride and soon someone with the power many had chased for. He wondered how long until she would die and he would turn to face his brother and tell him that he should have never bothered to choose a human to rule the damn underworld.

'You will see why I chose her, just trust me and let everything go in the right direction, trust me, brother, I have never failed you nor shall I' his brother said to him mentally.

'You have before brother, don't expect this to be easier as it was before' he responded then turned to look at the young girl who had seemed to zone out from the doctor's words as she locked eyes with him.

His eyes were gold and Aria wondered if his powers were as powerful as the use of gold In the world. She watched as he stared at her with his brother and two other men and she wondered if anyone else could see them. She slowly pulled away from the doctor, unsure of what would happen.

The words of the doctor were drummed out by her heartbeat and she wished that she didn't feel so crazy at that point. She had always been one to adore the power that she had in her art but she knew that even it could take away the vision and fear that came at her all at once.

She wanted to scream but she knew that she would have to honor her deal. Had it not been for them, she would have thrown herself over the cliff and her mother could have been dead. So she knew there was no point of fighting or crying or bargaining over again since all was said and done.

She watched them, waiting for one of them to step forward and do something but instead she felt a hand on her shoulder pulling her out of her trance and noticed James stare exactly as she stared. She wondered how could that be as it only had been her that had made the deal.

"Please tell me, I am not going crazy," he whispered into her ear as the doctor spoke to Harry. "Please tell me you see the four men at the door, looking as though they are preparing themselves to kill one or both of us."

"You are not crazy," she whispered back, slightly scared at what was supposed to happen next.

Before they could say anything, the two brothers disappeared and suddenly appeared by both of their sides, she heard the words before anything.

"La la." And she was knocked out, what could she say, a deal was a deal.
