Chapter Forty_Seven: Time

The door opened and James barely made a move to turn towards it. He felt emotionally and physically drained. He didn't have the heart to try and speak with the stranger or with anyone else that was here. He listened carefully and he knew that they barely stayed for a minute in the room. Constantly cleaning up or leaving food for him, which he barely even ate. Too drained to even care about living.

He knew that his depression was resurfacing and that everything had been because someone had spoken out on his fear and actions. That, someone, had judged him accordingly and soon things would come become what they meant for him. Hell for all those that deserved it, the front seats reserved for his father and himself. In fact, for his whole family for keeping that secret.

He never knew that things would change so drastically for him and a part of him, wanted to hurry out of the castle and search for Aria. To see how she was and if she was doing better than him but at the same time, he hadn't told Aria the truth. She didn't know that he and his family were the ones responsible for killing the man he once loved.

He didn't want to lie to her as the woman knew how to read everyone around her carefully, she wouldn't be judgmental on first meets, no she listened and watched. If you wronged her more than three times then she would react. React easily and retaliate when necessary.

That was one of the things that built their friendship strongly, she was very open and transparent. The producers loved her because whatever she did had emotion and she rarely had to do retakes because she was always so perfect, so undeniably good. Even though Cecilia was rough on her, it pushed her to do the best and that best kept the team running.

He was sure that Aria hadn't noticed but she was the best dancer and actress the show ever hired. Nobody was willing to let go of her and though many came and wanted her, she remained loyal to the team and the work she promised to deliver. Anybody else would have taken the offer and left easily.

'You staying in bed won't help soothe your heart,' he heard, yet oddly it sounded as if it had been his thoughts that had spoken,

'it might not soothe my heart but it will do me good to await on death to do its deed, I don't want to ever hurt or bring pain to another. Especially someone I love, but I did and it tears me apart every time I remember it', he admitted

'There's an earthly saying that I believe in,' it said,

'Time heals all wounds?' he huffed, narrowing his eyes as he remembered how he couldn't stand that saying, couldn't stand how so many people took heed to those words yet he didn't see the point to try to.

'No, but the saying that angels collect all tears to one day pour them out as blessings,' it said, he felt someone touch his feet and he quickly turned to find the same man from yesterday standing before him with a teasing expression.

"How…How?" James questioned as he pulled himself further away from the stranger. Frightened as he hadn't heard him but now that he thought about it, he realized that he had been the one to tell him to protect his emotions and guard everything within him.

He hadn't listened, thinking that he was just trying to scare him but now as he watched the man, he realized that they weren't joking and that his life was truly over. Aria and he were trapped somewhere else and without even a way of contacting each other.

"You may call me Prince Sal, I am the brother's King and I believe it's time we both spoke and got to know each other. That way you can take my words seriously... If all goes well, maybe I will let you come close to Aria" he said, baiting James in.
