Chapter Sixty: In Which She Adapts

The sound of the door being opened without a knock was heard as Aria stared at the view by her window, lost in her thoughts but disturbed by the sound, she turned to find the door being pushed open by Quin and rolled her eyes not being surprised that the woman had been the one to awaken her.

Or well attempt to.

"Well good morning to you too, I thought I would find you in bed giving yourself a pity party but instead here you are, seated and ready for today. I wonder what brought the change but then again I caught a whiff of your scent by one of the rooms as I was coming here.

I even caught a whiff of King Silvers scent, I do wonder what would that mean and if there was a secret affair going on that I don't know about. Do tell me, love, what did happen while we were all asleep as I am very interested to know what two people who I assumed disliked each other were doing in the middle of the night… In one room, alone." Quin said, taking slow steps towards her.

Aria narrowed her eyes as she turned her head back to the window, watching the sky be filled with different colors but this time they seemed a bit happier and that made her calmer than she usually was. She honestly didn't want to talk about what had happened last night as she didn't even know what had really happened.

She had needed to dance and let out her fears, her failures. She wanted to let out her frustration and deal with the things that bothered her yet there she was dancing with him. Taking in a deep whiff of his scent, feeling his hands on her body, and staring into his gold eyes that once used to scare her yet slowly they intrigued her and she was scared to admit that she wanted more of it.

He had shown her a bit of himself and the way that he moved, showed her that he was skilled in that area, he had let his demons out and they had joined her very own. They had seemingly matched and she couldn't help but want to see more of that, feel more of that but she knew that wasn't wise as he was one that didn't want her close to him and she wasn't ready to trust him, not just yet especially since he was capable of things that she was still trying to grasp.

Quin watched the young woman's mind pounder with thoughts and she couldn't help but wonder what was going on. She hadn't lied when she said she had caught a whiff of her scent along with Silvers as she had approached her room and it had disturbed her as she was sure that the human wouldn't leave her room. Yet when she had stepped into that music room, the human's scent had become stronger and she knew that she had been there for a while.

It intrigued her to know more and yet as she watched the human, she knew something had happened between her and Silver. She didn't know whether to be happy or scared about that very thought but it didn't stop her from teasing. After all, there was a lot that the human didn't know about Quin and there was a lot Quin didn't know about her.

So she couldn't help but let her power reach and try to enter into her mind, trying to tap into the memories that would be fresh enough to tell her what had happened to her and Silver. So she opened and tapped on the freshest memory she could find, she was excited to see what was there until she had the human say, "Stay out of my head, I've gotten better at blocking at advancements so let's not try it shall we."

"Well damn, we shouldn't have taught you that If you were gonna act this way now should we, oof, well next time." Quin teased as she drew closer to the human, "You bathed and dressed yourself this time and you look good. Your hair is neatly done, did you have help?"

"No, I did it myself, I couldn't fall asleep after I woke up in the middle of the night, so I figured it was best to do it myself." Aria whispered, "Had it taken you long?" Quin asked as she took in the image of the young woman, trying to see if she had made a huge error in dressing up as she knew that the realm clothes were hard to get into.

"It took me some time not long though," Aria said, which was a lie as it had taken her three hours to get her hair into what Quin usually did, try and dress up with the corset plus making sure to find the right underdress and shoes. When she had been done, she had been so bothered she didn't leave the room but stayed in it and minded her business letting her mind wander.

She heard Quin snort and she knew that Quin knew better but it was worth a try, "Come on, today we are going to try a new lesson and see how it goes. No blood today I think," Quin said, gesturing at her to follow. As soon as Aria was up and they were out of the room, she felt Quin stare at her as they walked by the corridor.

"What's wrong?" I asked, feeling uncomfortable with her gaze, "Your back is in a proper posture, I am curious to know why as I am always fixing your posture and now you just seem nearly perfect despite being a bit tense." She pointed out. "I thought a teacher is supposed to be happy when they see improvement," Aria pointed out.

"They are but still that doesn't mean it isn't an eye drawer when things suddenly happen. I wonder what caused the change." Quin said, "Whatever, oh wait what happened to the two-man from yesterday?" Aria asked suddenly worried about the two-man."

"Oh, I wrung the skin out of one's face and the other is okay, isn't life great," Quin said and walked away, leaving Aria shocked, what on…
