Emergency

7 years  late

"Alicia," I heard Jas sniff on the other side of the phone.

"What happened?" I asked her with urgency in my voice as soon as I heard her sobbing silently.

I started to move hurriedly from my hospital chair and moved out as fast as I could manage on my heels.

I was about to leave hospital in about 15 more minutes now. So I had already changed out of my hospital gown into my red pencil skirt and a white blouse.

"I-I," she started but her voice broke as soon as it left her lips.

"Are you alright?" I asked her once again as I knocked at the door of my department's head's office.

"Come in," I heard him say.

So I told Jas with a worrisome voice,

"I'll be there in 10," I said but recorrected myself soon enough, "No,No I'll be there in five!" I said as I hung up.
