Rendezvous

"Okay, I'm home. You can leave now." I said and quickly made my way through the gates, parting us with the metallic bars of security the gates could provide.

"You're so cold to me, I might accidentally let slip of this to my parents." Cain grinned smugly as he leaned on the gate and caressed my chin.

"..."

I grunted in annoyance before opening the gates and headed for the front door, hearing the gates shut behind me.

"What's the hurry?" Cain asked as he followed me closely, hovering around me like an annoying mosquito.

"Ah, I feel sick because someone was abusing the usage of their pheromones.(monotone)"

"Is that so? Should I take care of you then?" Cain asked as he held my hand and leaned me against the wall.

"T-there's no need for that. Didn't you bring me home to rest?"

"You seem pretty healthy to me?" Cain tilted his head and gave me a sly grin before lightly kissing my lips.

I shoved him off me and stormed straight to my room, shutting the door behind me and falling into the comfort of my bed. Several seconds later, he entered the room and sat on the bed beside me.

"Hmm~"

"What now?" I replied with a bored tone before feeling his large hands on my waist.

"How naughty, you skip school and invited me straight to your bedroom."

"Wha-what?! You're the one who followed me in here!" I gasped and moved to turn but was held down by his weight on my hips.

"Wouldn't you normally lock the door if you didn't want me to follow you in? But then again, you're the type of person who invites their guests to the bathroom while you're taking a bath."

"I told you... that was an accident." My cheeks felt hot as he reminded me of our first encounter.

"Well, I'm not the type to let an opportunity slip by... so..." Cain's voice lowered to a growl as I heard the sound of him removing a layer of clothing.

"W-wait! What are you doing?!"

"Hmm? Bout to make you feel good."

"I-I don't need it!" I start to struggle beneath him before he caught my hands and tied them above my head.

"It won't hurt."

"I don't care if it hurts or not! I don't want to!"

"It's fine, I'm an expert at it."

"N-no! C-Cain! Didn't you say you like me! Why would you torment the person you like?!" I felt my eyes heat up as the tears began to spill.

"... Are you crying?"

"Obviously... hic... you're terrible... hic..."

"I'm sorry, didn't know you hate massages that much." Cain released my hands as he turned me around to face him.

What.... massage...? ... ... Massage?! I didn't expect him to imply that!

"Look here, stop crying. I'll just tuck you in bed, then." Cain said as he hugged me.

I was too embarrassed to look at his face so I clung to him for a long while, not letting him pull away until I felt comfortable looking at him again.

***

"Umm..."

"What?"

"You said you'd tuck me in bed..."

"Yes?"

"So why are you climbing in as well?"

"What's the problem?"

You're the problem?! But if I said that out loud, who knows what he would do.

"N-nevermind."

Cain said nothing and leaned on his side, his arm draping over my waist while the other one propped him up. He then gently caressed my cheek as I warily glanced up at him.

"Yes, you should be able to sleep well now that your boyfriend is tucking you into bed."

"My what?"

"If you let someone kiss you, touch you and climb into bed with you but not call them your boyfriend then what are they? Also... depending on your answer and whether you've done it before, I might accidentally break a bone."

My God... I nearly forgot he was abnormal for a moment.

"I'll let you think what you want. I'm going to bed." I turned to my side and lifted the blanket so I wouldn't need to see his face.

However, Cain leaned closer to me and wrapped his arm around my waist, gently patting it. I try to ignore him but can't as I feel his hot breath down my neck and the warmth of his body against my back.

"... Rest well." Cain whispered as I felt a light touch on my head.

My heart was going wild in my chest as my face felt like it was on fire. It must be the heat. There's no way he could make me feel like this.

***

I yawned and stretched feeling completely energised before realising that Cain was still next to me. I blinked haphazardly before slowly brushing away the loose strand of hair that covered his handsome face.

His calm features really differed to the expressions he use in the day. He looked serene and beautiful, like a painting of an angel. The way his lips part, slightly moist from his breath and the glow on his skin made my heart skip a beat.

No, no, no, no. Are you crazy?! It's Cain! You already know how crazy his personality and mind is! And yet... There's a part of me that wishes to look past that and enjoy the attention he is giving me.

Just as I was about to touch his face, there was a knock on the door which jolted me to attention. I quickly drew my hand away, a little too quickly as I then tumbled out of bed.

"Nngh? Darien?" I heard Cain's sleepy voice as he shuffled in the sheets before glancing downwards at the floor.

"..."

"What are you doing there?"

"I uh... fell out..."

"Nn... Scoot over closer next time." Cain groaned as he wiped his eyes and stifled a yawn, climbing off the bed as he pulled me into his arms.

"... Okay..."

What is this... Why is my heart beating so fast? Plus why is he acting so differently from the manga? Doesn't he push others until he gets what he wants with no regards to their feelings? Why listen to me earlier instead of doing what he usually does?

My thoughts get interrupted again as the knocking persisted. Cain looked a little angry before he threw a pillow once more against the door, only for it to be opened, the pillow hitting the person behind the door dead center on the face.

"Ah! A-are you alright?!" I gasped as I scrambled out of Cain's arms to see the damage he had caused.

"Y-your butler was amazing to guess that something was going to be thrown at the door... Cause... The minute I opened it, my face was greeted by a pillow." Sylvain chuckled as he climbed off the floor, carrying the pillow towards the bed as he placed it in my arms.

"It's common courtesy, Young Master Sylvain." the butler said before shutting the door.

"Who are you? Why are you entering Darien's room as you please?" Cain suddenly snapped from behind me as I noticed Sylvain's eyes focusing on Cain.

"I'm his best friend. Who are you? Ah, wait, no... You're his class monitor... But still..." Cain knitted his brows, looking rather annoyed at the question.

"I'm his b-"

"A-anyways, what are you doing here? Weren't you going to class?"

"Class? But Darien... school had been out long ago?"

"Eh?" I blinked blankly at Sylvain before glancing around my room before spotting a clock on my night stand.

Holy cow, it is pretty late! How long did I sleep?

"How're you holding up? Do you need to take a few more days off?" Sylvain asked as he reached out to touch me.

Before anything happened, Cain grabbed hold of me, pulling me back into his arms. I glanced at the two of them, feeling a rather frosty sensation in the air.

Is this... the legendary fight for their loved one scene?! Oh my gosh! I never expected to witness it first hand! .... .... Or get involved in it... But wasn't Sylvain not interested or to be precise, aware of romance?

What a pickle.
