Dinner

As we head back into the restaurant, I could see the surprised look on Cain's father's face. I tried not to look too smug at analysing the situation right before nudging Cain to take a seat beside him.

Cain gives me a defiant look before giving in and sitting across from me. I nod with approval, feeling a little proud of him because he had decided to listen to me.

However... I think I should have asked him to sit beside me instead...

During the wait for our meal, Cain had slipped off his shoe, running his foot against my calf and trailing it up to my groin. I hold back my voice as I lowered my gaze down at the table. It was getting harder to focus on what they were saying, and sitting straight was becoming an issue.
