Guidelines And Introduction to The World Of Omegaverse

The world of omegaverse originated as a sci-fi parody or derivative of sci-fi works in Western BL. These stories imitate the heirachal structure of wolf packs with alphas, omegas and betas. Omegaverse stories varies from author to author because there is no clear originator of omegaverse works, hence, no correct rule set and authors may create as they please.

An omegaverse world is one where men or women can impregnate those of the same gender. A long time in the bygone past, the world comprised of two primary genders. However, with the rapidly declining fertility populations, mankind underwent a series of evolution where the difference between the two changed. Now both primary genders can be pregnant and impregnated as men now have a womb connected to their rectum and women no longer have a clitoris but a regular penis.

The three main sexes now comprises of alphas whom rein at the top of the heirarchy, betas who take up the majority of the population and omegas who are at the bottom of the hierarchy but extremely rare in numbers. In a group of ten people, two people would be alphas, seven are betas and one would be an omega.

Differences between alphas, omegas and betas can be classified as follow:

Alphas

- Has a knot which swells during heats, preventing pulling out from partner after ejaculation (Lasts from 20 to 30 minutes and has a 100% fertility rate)

- Has sudden heats (Especially when exposed to omega pheromones)

- Ejaculates a lot

- Has dominance pheromones

Betas

- No heats (generally unaffected by pheromones)

- Maintains self-control during sex unlike omegas

Omegas

- Has heats

- Heats occur once per month and lasts for one week

- Unlikely to get pregnant outside of heat

- Produces omega pheromones

Omegas build up omega hormones over the course of three weeks, in which the hormones are released in the form of omega pheromones during their heat. It is believed that this process evolved to enable omegas with low fertility rates to entice and seduce alphas with high fertility rates. Pheromones produced by omegas are expelled through their sweat glans and are unable to be produced by alphas or betas. Hence the name, omega pheromones.

Alphas react to omega pheromones released during a heat which in turn riles up their own heat. In their heat, most alphas tend to lose control and have a tendency to become violet. The first heat between alphas and omegas usually occur during the ages of of 12 to 18 years old.

During a heat, if an alpha bites on the nape of an omega, a bond will be formed. This bond does not change the alpha, but it renders the omega unable to have sex with anyone outside of their bonded partner. If the omega does have sex with a partner outside of their pair, said omega will experience extreme nausea, dizziness and headaches. An alpha however, can form multiple bonds with omegas with no repurcussions.

Soul bonds are extremely rare, often said to be an urban legend where an alpha and omega feel attraction to one another at first sight, outside of a heat. The scent of said omega is rumoured to be overwhelming and particularly enticing for the alpha in comparison to other omegas.

To prevent unwanted bonds, omegas wear collars to prevent themselves from being bitten. It is common courtesy for both alphas and omegas to carry suppressants to avoid unwanted altercations. However, not all omegas are suited to the medicine and will still be able to release pheromones despite consuming the suppressants.

In society, omegas MUST submit a medical certification declaring their status and always have medication at the ready. Heat suppressants must also be taken regularly to protect themselves and others around them. In workplaces, omegas have now been able to work their way through the ranks without prejudice.
