The Way Out

When I came to, the room was dark and I was surrounded by two silhouettes overlooking me from above. I jolted upright, backing away as I found myself falling over— just to be pulled into strong pairs of arms.

"I told you not to crowd him, get lost! I'm more than enough!" One of the owners of the silhouette grumbled while the other let out a tired sigh.

"You keep saying that, but you're one of the reasons he passed out to begin with." The other replied as the person currently holding me in his arm found himself at a loss of words and clicked his tongue in frustration.

I… recognise those voices…

"Ngh… Cain…? Orion…? What… happened?" I blinked a few more times, gradually acclimatising to the dim lighting of the room as I studied their faces.

"Darien!" The both of them exclaimed at the same time— rushing towards me as their hands started roaming my face and shoulders.
