Blueth Mendoza's POV
"Oh Blueth, why are you so stupid? I mean, seriously? Did you think that me, a girl, would fall in love with you? Another girl? Keep dreaming."
I didn't utter a word, I just stared down, staying quiet. My eyes started getting blurred, getting filled with tears, the next thing I know, everything went dark.
Valerie Books' POV
"Why did you let the imposter inside your house!?" Rachelle yelled at me while we were running towards the house.
"Well, it looked like you! And how was I supposed to know that that wasn't you!?"
"Do you have any idea who it might be?"
"I don't know who or what that is, but what I do know is that if it hurts my baby, it's going to get messy!"
Rachelle and I kept running until we reached the house. Upon arriving, we saw that all of the lights inside the house were turned off. It was getting dark and Blueth should've turned the lights by now. Turned off lights are never a good sign.
"Blueth!!!" I yelled while we were still outside of the house, hoping that Blueth just dozed off and forgot to turn on the lights. I don't know why I was thinking that the reason why the lights were still off was because Blueth was asleep, maybe I was afraid of thinking about the worst. I waited for a reply, but no one replied.
"We need to go." I told Rachelle as I kicked down the door. I then ran towards Blueth's room as fast as I can, with Rachelle just behind me. I immediately opened the door to Blueth's room and I saw this weird snake-like figure sitting on Blueth's bed. It was a shadow of some sort, smoke covered its body and it had these red glowing eyes.
Rachelle finally reached us and her eyes widened as she saw the figure inside Blueth's room. She was in shock as she covered her mouth. "W-what is that!?"
"I don't know, but all I know is that it'll receive some huge beating if it hurt Blueth. Hey! Smokey! Where's my Blueth!?"
The figure looked at me with its red eyes as it gave a smile. I could tell it was smiling because in its black smoke body, I saw these rows of sharp teeth.
"Blueth? Ha, that little girl of yours? That pathetic excuse for a human?" It said in a mixed voice.
"Hey! Don't talk about Blueth like that! She's not like that!" Rachelle said, hiding behind me. I thought she could handle any type of situation? Why is she using me as a human shield? No matter, we have a much bigger fish to fry.
The figure smiled at Rachelle and it showed its left hand, revealing Blueth.
Rage started filling me as I saw Blueth, she was so pale and she looked malnourished somehow. "What did you do with her!?" I yelled as I started waving my finger around, preparing to blast this smoke monster thing's face off.
"What did I do to her? I didn't do anything to her. I just did her a favor. I sucked all of her sadness away. Look how happy she is!" The figure then started playing around with Blueth's body like it was some kind of ragdoll.
"That's it! No one does that to Blueth!" I waved my finger and started blasting the figure with my magic.
As it hit the figure in the face, it let go of Blueth's body. "I would say that I got hurt from that, but I would be lying. That only tickled!" The figure said as it started laughing. It then jumped towards me, pinning me to the ground, trying to bite my face off with its fangs.
"Rachelle! Get Blueth and get away from here!" I said as I kept pushing away the figure, trying my best not to get my face get bitten off.
"What about you!?"
"Don't worry about me! I got this! Just take Blueth and run away!"
Rachelle gave a nod as she picked up Blueth's body and started running away.
"Oh no you don't!" The figure said as it knocked over shelves with its tail, blocking the entrance. "Why are you leaving!? Let me take away your sadness!" The figure said as it kept laughing.
"Ms. Val! What do I do now!?" Rachelle screamed as she kept carrying Blueth.
"Just stay alive!"
"What!?"
The figure kept reaching my face with its fangs, trying to bite my face off. "I know that my face is cute and all, but come on, have some decency man. Don't be so desperate trying to steal a kiss from me."
"Ms. Val!" Rachelle yelled as she looked at me.
"What!? I'm trying to make me think of something else other than thinking that my face will get bitten off!"
As I kept pushing the figure away from my face, I noticed something on its chest. It was an emblem of some sort with the letter 'R' on it. "What the...?"
I kept looking at it, trying to remember what it was. The symbol looked familiar somehow. After looking at it for some time, a memory came to me and I finally remembered what it meant. "Well, let's see now. I wonder if he still makes his pets fade this way."
I waved my finger around and magic started surrounding my hand. I formed a fist with my hand and I punched the emblem with all of my might. The figure stopped reaching for my face and started crawling backward.
"Ah, his pets still have that one weakness I see." I said as I stood up, watching the figure explode, making the room fill with tiny little sparkles. "Hm, typical him."
"Ms. Val!" Rachelle called my name and I saw her placing Blueth down on her bed.
"Blueth!" I said as I ran towards them. "Oh no, no, no, no, Blueth!" I sat beside Blueth as I pulled her in for a hug.
"Ms. Val... Is Blueth... Gone...?" Rachelle asked as tears started forming in her eyes.
"No, no, Blueth is not gone. Blueth's still here." I said as I stood up. "That figure said that it took away Blueth's sadness. Say something which would make Blueth happy." I said as I looked at Rachelle.
"What? You just said that it took away Blueth's sadness, and you want me to make Blueth happy? How will that work?"
"Just trust me!"
"Well, how would I know what will make Blueth happy?"
"You could start by telling her you love her."
"What!?"
"Just do it."
Rachelle let out a sigh and she looked at Blueth. "Blueth?" Rachelle said as she held Blueth's hand. "I know that it seems like I'm not showing it, but, I really love you. Ever since the day we met I fell in love with you."
"Perfect." I butted it, making Rachelle stop talking to Blueth.
"What?" Rachelle looked at me and I started blasting Blueth with my magic. It was a different magic, not the one I used against the figure. What? I'm not going to kill Blueth, that kid is like my child.
Blueth's body color slowly returned to normal and she started slowly opening her eyes.
"What was that?" Rachelle looked at me with confusion.
"It was my healing magic, like it? I'll use it on you but you're not slowly on the verge of dying."
"Healing... Magic...? So you're telling me that I didn't need to tell Blueth that I love her?"
"Nope." I replied as I smiled at Rachelle.
"W-what?" Rachelle said as she started blushing. Sorry Rachelle, but the two of you need to stop hiding those feelings for each other.
"Rachelle...?" Blueth said as she opened her eyes.
"Well, that's my cue. I'm going to hit the hay now, using magic like that drained my systems. You can walk home on your own, right Rachelle? Okay? Good. Bye now." I said as I slowly made my way towards my room.
Boy, that was the first time in a long time where I used my magic like that, that was really tiring. I'm drained. I just had enough energy to make it to my room and lay down on my bed.
I saw Cathy jump on my bed as she curled up into a ball. I can't move my body to push her off, so I just let her sleep on my bed. "I'm just going to sleep."
