In the year 2053, earth was struck with a mana surge from a failed scientific project, causing great magical calamities and mutations. 

The supernatural became the natural, magic became the norm. Advanced Civilisation had become extinct. While suffering through the invasion of races and the aggression of monsters originated from the mutation of animals. 

With this society who has progressed into the supernatural, how would a Young talentless man, with no power or magic, be able to survive?

What if, one day, he had a fortunate encounter with a system, a system which could not only adapt but evolve. Would he remain weak and powerless? Or would he adapt and become something… Bigger?

The Adapter's System

The sound of hard metal's colliding resounded throughout the desert. Following that, Asper's figure was sent flying back, rolling against the sand.

Hastily, he dug his knives into the soft sand to stop his momentum, before charging right at it.

Loud collision sounds resounded once again as Asper's knives collided with it's hard skin. No matter how hard he swung, he couldn't cut through.

A giant worm, literally. It had a mouth which opened up, showcasing countless fangs which could tear Asper to shred. It was around 5 meters tall, and according to Stella, it was the smallest of it's kind.

The giant worm was also incredibly fast. Despite Asper having flanked it and attacked, it quickly turned it's body, slamming itself against him.

As Asper recovered from the momentum once again, he noticed that the warm had disappeared. Or at least, that's what it seemed like.
