Blinding lights reflected against his widened eyes as he hastily looked around. Sand filled his feet as all the trees, the jungle itself was gone.
Short wooden buildings along with markets and vendors could be seen all around him.
The fiery hot sunlight felt as if it were roasting him alive.
"What…?"
That was the only word he could muster out as his head was filled with questions.
***
An actual sand-village.
Asper who had been walking down the sandy roads with carts and carriages going past received an interesting explanation from Stella on where they were.
Turns out, everything they had seen. The jungle, the trees, the plants, the animal wasn't an illusion but something else.
She called it a rift.
"What's a rift?" Asper asked as he walked down the Sandy roads with her, avoiding a child who was nearly about to bump into him.
"Desculpa." Said the kid with his head hung as he ran off.
