In Love with a Stranger

Eventually, the food arrived and everyone dug in with gusto. Jonah even let Eden have the last bite of his pancakes because she had really wanted to try them but he was allergic to pecans and she couldn't risk cross-contaminating him.

She had gotten into the habit of carrying around travel-sized mouthwash in her purse when they went out to eat in case she ordered something with pecans in it because she happened to love them. She didn't want to accidentally cause an allergic reaction later if they kissed before she had the chance to brush her teeth.

He said that it wasn't a life-threatening allergy; all that happened was hives breaking out on the back of his neck and his tongue swelling. That still sounded pretty serious to her though so she didn't want to take any chances.

Eden headed to the bathroom to use the mouthwash and wash her hands to be safe. She really hoped Ezra wasn't giving Jonah too hard of a time while she was gone.
