In Love with a Stranger

Ezra's eyes continued narrowing throughout the conversation. When there was finally a break, he said what was on his mind to the horror of everyone involved in maintaining the lie.

"You were in the band at Aubrey's wedding. I'm sure of it."

Troy may have been freaking out on the inside but he played his part very well as he rubbed the back of his neck. "Aubrey…not ringing a bell. I play a lot of weddings so they all kind of blur together. I actually have another one tonight. Brides love April to August for some reason so I'm always really busy then."

Eden's pulse thrummed in her ears and she felt like she might throw up. No matter how well he played his part, the secret was partially out. Ezra knew that Troy was who she was supposedly interested in last summer.
