Jonah wanted a real future with Eden. One where his anxiety didn't hold him back from living life to the fullest. Maybe the time had come to finally get another dog after all. She had said she always wanted one but her mom wouldn't let her and they were a lot of fun even if they were also a lot of work.

His mind swirled with countless thoughts of things they could do together once it was established that they wanted to build a life together properly. It took him a long time to fall asleep as a result but he couldn't even be mad about it.

As soon as Eden left for work the next morning, he texted Aubrey to make sure she didn't accidentally see. 'Did Eden ever mention a particular engagement ring design she wanted?'
