Team Up?

It is harder than you think to swing a bloody tiger arm. The claws are still sharp but the blood kept soaking the arm so after one of two swipes I ditched it. It was badass in the moment but practically, it wasn't really my style.

Fanalis kept jumping around smashing the tigers like grapes and the massacre was done fairly quickly.

The flurry of messages were surprising but something I kind of expected. There had to be a reason I only gained skill levels and not regular levels on the Isle. Speaking of levels I hadn't seen my skill sheet since I was on the Isle.

A quick mental beckon and my stat sheet appeared in front of me.

"Did you level up for the first time too?" Fanalis asked

"Yea I was just gonna check to see what it does to my stat sheet" I replied before turning to the holographic screen

I haven't seen my status in a while, but it was clear I had improved a lot. KE siphon broke past level 40 and a lot of my skills were around the level 20 range. Which made sense, I basically lived through hellish training that took the lives of millions of people.

"How is your status looking?" I asked Fanalis

"It's looking like we won't have to worry about dying from anything in this region" she smiled

"What level are you by the way?" I prodded further

Before she answered, a transparent box appeared above her head

"It's a good level, why do you need to know?" She lifted her eyebrow

"Well, in the spirit of partnership we should be able to share a basic level of trust, respect and loyalty" I said while clamping my hands together and batting my eyes

"Partnership?! We literally met like 10 minutes ago" she inches away with a slight smirk

"But we partied together and decimated some tigers together! You can't say we wouldn't be a great team!" I implored and moved closer

"Bro why do you want to party together, aren't you top 3 on the council? What use would I be?" She said facetiously

"Well, it would great to have a companion, instead of wandering wherever-the-fuck we are by myself" I implored

"Honestly, I don't like sharing experience, we are too strong to go anywhere together" she shrugged her shoulders

"You can have the experience, I just want the experience of a companion." I said with a self assured smile and moved in

"If you don't back up, I'll show you how the tigers felt" she said while raising her leg and smiling

Saturating my legs with KE, I jumped back while raising my arms and smiling

"Not like that, just a fellow council member I don't have to protect, we get stronger together!" I shouted from 15 ft away

"You're a weird guy, but not bad, I'll allow a week by week trial basis" she turned her nose up smugly

"Great! First things first, to establish trust, I'll be honest and say I got a notification saying I could get a lvl 75 skill or an advance skill at lvl 1 because I'm a council member. Did you get something like that too?" I asked quickly and with enthusiasm and moved closer to talking distance

" I got something like that but only two lvl 50 skills" she responded

"That's probably because I'm higher in the council. Wow they really incentivize being high in the council" I sighed while rubbing my neck

"Well, make your choice and let's get moving, I want to kill more exp bags" Fanalis responded while walking away

I quickly chose Advanced Kinetic Hijacking and followed after her.
