C3: It's not a dream

'Hmm where am I? why is it so dark?' Maya attempted to move her body but there was no response from her limbs.

'Huh?! why cant I move my body?!' She tried once more to move her body but the results were still the same, she was unable to move.

"Beep.. beep.. beep.. "

'That... sounds like a heart monitor, am I in the hospital? oh I remember now, my apartment caught on fire, my WORK!!!' Maya wanted to cry and that she did, the salty tears stinging the burnt side of her face.

The door of her hospital room opened and heavy footsteps can be heard coming closer to her bedside.

'Is that the doctor?' the question popped into her mind while listening to the steps.

"You are like a roach aren't you, so hard to kill off easily, I'm guessing you want to know why you got into this situation, all burnt up" a deep husky voice resounded and told her, the man slowly walked to the heart monitor and spoofed it to fool the nurse and doctors, he then went to her IV drip.

"I'll tell you, you have become a thorn to our university because of your constant drive and want to surpass our results, we can't have that, in order for humanity to survive, they must support our Blue Star University for our research and we cannot have a self funded researcher surpass our efforts, blame yourself for being too hard working" The man injected a liquid into the IV bag and then walked away from the room.

Maya who was now left alone suddenly felt pain within her body and she felt the want to sleep, she tried to hold back the want but all of it was in vain as she lost her consciousness and fell.

In another planet and dimension, a pure white statuesque object in the shape of a voluptuous lady had its eyes glow gold, Its appearance was feminine without a mouth, it had a solid sheet of the same white material as the rest of its body but it had a silvery glow as it went down and covered on side of the statues chest.

At this time in the world of [MechHigh] an announcement sounded that caught some the players eyes.

"System: A [WildMech] has spawned on the Serene Mountains region of aurum, operators stay safe"

"Wonder which mech it'll be, hopefully a god type" player.

"If it was a god type we won't be able to touch it since the government would hire high ranking foundation's for that" player.

"AHH I wanna join a high ranking foundation, the foundation im in is too low in the rankings" player.

Foundation's, within the game of [MechHigh] foundations are what guilds are if [MechHigh] was a fantasy game, there exists a ranking chart of the powerful foundations at which the top three are Celestia which is named after the Greek pantheons mountain of the gods, ExMachina a foundation that takes its name from the god of machines, and Limbo a foundation filled with assassins that can be hired which the players call The Reapers, respectively.

The top 10 of the rankings have almost similar strength levels at which if even a single one falters for a second, they will be immediately defeated and replaced by those below them, the top 3 are weary of the 2 below them which are Valhalla and The Black Circus, respectively.

Serene Mountains.

"Ugh I thought I died?" Maya said in a female robotic voice, almost at the same pitch as a certain famous robot in a certain teleporting game.

Maya lifted her hand and touched her head only to hear a loud creaking as she held her head, Maya turned her head and looked at her arm at which she then got surprised due to its pure white structure that seemed familiar to her, it was covered by a golden bracer and she knew where it was from.

"What the f*ck!! isn't this the arm of the Valkyrie M1?! wasn't this model discontinued in [MechHigh] due to its supposed broken stats?" Maya touched her arm and then saw her other hand that was the same.

"I-it can't be, right?" she touched her face and found the flexible hair like cowl on her head, which was also a unique structure to the Valkyrie M1 back then, she went and touched her body, she could feel the mechs chest and was sure that the one who made the Valkyrie must have been a pervert, otherwise they wouldn't sculpt shaped breasts on a mechs armor.

"I must be dreaming" she went and slapped herself only to feel a bit of pain, a health bar appeared in front of her and it showed that her health was now only 98 percent.
