The After-Party.

Lisa's POV:

I'm sure, I'm gonna embarrass myself soon.

I don't even know how to dance why did I agree to dance with him.

But I mean, he's looking so fine in a white shirt.

Dang!

I'm too shy for him, sorry.

I look at him and he is already looking at me with a little smile on his face.

As I get lost in his eyes, I suddenly hear him whisper "Ouch!" in a heavy low voice.

I immediately step back asking what happened.

"Nothing, just.. you trod on my foot with your heel" he says chuckling.

"Oh, I.. um- sor.. I'm sorry" I say in hesitation.

"No, it's fine! Doesn't matter" he says.

Great! I did embarrass myself again.

"I told you, I can't dance" I giggle.

"well.. yeah, and now you just proved" he says looking into my eyes.

"Ouch! That's rude" I say raising my eyebrow. 

"I'm sorry, I- I didn't me.. " as he says I interrupt "No, it's okay".

We both look at each other and chuckle in sync.

I tread back as the music ends.

I felt so real when I was close to him. I don't know why but whenever he is around I feel safe.

Sure, I have only met him twice before but still..

"here" I hear someone saying as I sit near a table.

I look up to her and see a little card she's holding.

"What is it?" I say as I take it.

"After party at my house everyone is invited" she says giving me a toothy grin.

Oh girl, you probably don't know how I convinced myself to even come here.

Brittney comes towards me as the girl walks away.

"hey redhead, I missed you" she says.

"good, you finally remembered you have a best friend" I tease pointing towards the guy she was talking with, the whole time.

"Oh come on, I do know what you're upto.. Trying to approach the most attractive guy in the school" she says smirking at me.

"Woah, woah! It's definitely not what you think it is" I say with wide eyes.

I know, its never gonna happen.

mmmh! Not possible.

"Okay, we'll see that. So.. are you coming to the afterparty at sadie's house?" Brittney asks signaling at the card in my hand.

"No, I'm going home" I say as I shove the card at the table.

She rolls her eyes and.. starts "Stop with this introverted antisocial nonsense. You'll have to come"

I nod my head in denial.

"come on! You're gonna miss The Fun"

"Oh yeah, I have had enough for today".

"You. Are. Coming. And it's an order" she says.

Suddenly, Josh comes towards us taking a chair to sit near me.

"hey, I wanted to ask if you're willing to come with me to the after party" He says looking straight into my eyes.

"I don't know.. I um" I was about to refuse to go but I see Brittney making a puppy face to me.

"I um.. yeah, sure" I continue.

"Great, I'll catch you up soon" he says winking at me as he goes away.

"Dude, you saw that right?" Brittney says pulling her chair closer to me.

"Saw what?" I ask completely having no idea what she's talking about.

"The way he looks at you, like wow. He's so in love" she says showing an astonished face.

"Oh girl, don't start again. He is just a friend" I say in a tired voice.

"You literally have no idea what you're doing right now" she says raising her eyebrow as she leans back.

I really have no idea.

I never think of Josh in that way. I'm sure he also considers me his friend and nothing else.

...

As soon as everybody starts to leave, I reach at the gate and search for Josh.

He held my hand and opened the car door for me.

I thank him with a smile.

I couldn't stop thinking about what Brittney said earlier. I couldn't stop thinking about Josh.

This was worrying me a little.

I don't really know if I ever felt that way for him.

Anyway, I'm sure Brittney must've got it wrong.

"I think you did good today" he says after few minutes of silence.

"I don't think so" I say shyly.

More like awkwardly.

In case, you're wondering we are talking about the dance I had with him.

He taught me a little. But I didn't quite learn because the music ended quickly.

It was for the better, though. I was tired.

"You'll learn if you practice" he says smiling at me.

...

We arrive at the house.

Dude, the house? More of a mansion.

As soon as we enter there were security guards.

A huge front yard, full of kids who arrived before us.

A swimming pool on the left.

And there were even food stalls.

I was amazed.

Omer comes towards us and takes Josh with himself leaving me all alone.

Awkward Lisa is back.

I try to find Brittney but I guess she hasn't reached yet.

Or what if she never comes? What if she leaves me here all alone? What am I gonna do here?

Oh, that's just my anxiety talking.

I explore more of the place as not to look awkward.

There were group of friends, couples and.. there was me.

I take steps near the pool.

I hear footsteps walking towards me.

As I turn around to see, the girl intentionally pushes me into the pool.

That girl was Nora.

I tried to balance and moved my hands in the air but I realized it was too late.

Soon, I find myself in the pool, all wet.

I immediately try to make my way to the top surface of the pool and suddenly there forms a splash of water.

In the blink of an eye, I feel someone wrapping their arms around me and taking me to the top.

I open my eyes, breathing heavily.

It's him again, Daniel.

I was too close to him. He could hear my heart beat that was racing so hard.

"You okay?" he asks in a panic voice.

"Uhh.. Yeah, I'm.. fine" I say as I get in my senses.

I know how to swim, it was just a little sudden so I kinda panicked.

I look up to Nora. She was totally jealous.

I get it. She pushed me into the pool because I danced with his 'Dani'.

Be ready for the revenge, witch!
