Shadows

Shadow Story No.1

There are many things here that haunt our home, but by now, I'm used to it. I can stay at home all by myself now. I have also stopped seeing them as clearly as before. Now they just make their presence felt.

For example, the rocking chair in Mommy's room that was filled to the brim with bed sheets, pillowcases, thick blankets, and a few throw pillows? Yes, it moved by itself once.

There was also a time that the door to my Mom's room simply opened by itself. Just a note, it was the type that was hard to close and open. And when I looked inside to see who could have opened it, I saw Mommy was already asleep, and Daddy was downstairs.

But ever since we had our house extended, I've started seeing a shadow in our kitchen area. I don't know why. It didn't seem to do much but it's something that I really didn't want to see whenever I went to get a drink of water or find some food to eat.

Unfortunately, I would still see it there most times. Good thing it never did anything to me or my family.

Shadow Story No.2

This happened around 2009 or 2010. Around this time, I was still in high school, and for me, this was the scariest encounter I have had since this was my first one with whoever he is.

Back then, I slept in my room by myself. I don't remember what I was doing back then, that even until the early morning, I was still awake. I was the only one up at the time.

Sometime past 12 MN, I felt I needed to go to the restroom in order to pee. I went out of the room and closed it halfway. There was a tiny bit of space left, the kind where you can take a peek inside.

As soon as I turned, I reached the stairs since my room was near it. I've only taken two steps down when I suddenly heard that there were footsteps resounding inside my room. I thought then that my father had woken up and tried to see if I was still awake.

However, when I turned to see who it was, I didn't see anyone, and the door wasn't moved in any way.

It was a good thing that whoever it was, it stayed hidden in the darkness. Let's just say that I needed to sleep with the lights on that night.

Shadows Story No.3

I had this experience during an overnight event at school. We had some team-building activities at school then, and that's why we were there overnight.

It all started when we were finished with our activities for that day, and we were preparing to sleep.

The room that was assigned to us was the third room from the end of the school, and inside the room, the chairs were all lined up in the middle. Basically, the room was split in two because the chairs were all in the middle.

I chose to lay down at the end of the classroom nearest the blackboard, since I wasn't used to sleeping in places that weren't my home. When I'm in an unfamiliar place, I just can't bring myself to sleep.

It was around midnight when I noticed that there was someone standing at the end of the line of chairs. It was human-shaped, but it was like a shadow that was fully black. Even though I was a bit nervous seeing it there, I soon ignored it because it wasn't doing anything harmful and seemed to just observe us.

I think around half an hour or an hour passed, and the shadow by my feet that was standing along with the chairs was gone. I tried looking for it, and I saw it was now at the other end of the classroom, near the window.

Another half-hour passed, and now it was at the other end of the room to the right and in front of the door. It was still standing and observing, or at least I thought so. Either way, I found that I now had a greater difficulty sleeping because of it.

It went on until yet another half-hour passed. I then saw that the shadow was now near the door, walking out, but I couldn't hear any footsteps from it. And what surprised me more was the fact that it passed through the closed door…

I kept quiet, even though the beating of my heart was going wild.

Only a few minutes after it went out of the room, I heard the cub scouts from the next classroom scream. That's when the teacher who was with us stood up and ran to the other room. She told everyone to quiet down and when they did she finally asked them about what just happened.

They said that they saw a black lady, and that thing/being threw something at them.

The teacher then switched on the light and the person who was hit by the stone had a wound, but they couldn't find the item in question. And my brother who was with them said that he heard a voice and it was asking him to go with it.

Despite the wound, the teacher didn't believe them and told them to sleep.

The next day, before we all went home, I got to talk with two of my roommates from last night and I mentioned something about what I saw at the time. One of them, who chose to sit on the row of chairs, confirmed what I was saying.

He said that he also saw the shadow. The reason he couldn't move in order to change positions was because he was scared. The other one who saw it did so when it was already near my feet, and he covered his face when he saw it had moved to his feet.

It's impossible for it to all be my imagination since I wasn't the only one who saw it, and I was sure about it since I was very much awake that night.

Now I wonder, if that happened to me again, would people believe me because I'm no longer just a child?
