Mock battle

A barren wasteland.

A land that has been ravaged by both the mages and the military training and experiment. All that you can see around is dirt and rock everywhere.

The sun is shining in the blue sky above, but even with that, the temperature is still around 14 degrees celsius.

In the middle of this stands two young men.

"Are you ready for this?"

"Of course, last time that viper took me by surprise so I didn't display my full potential."

William looks happy as if he had gotten a better score than the top student.

"Well sorry to tell you but I to have been learning some new spell and practicing my magic so I have raised my ML too."

"Really, that good news, how much are you now six or maybe even eight??"

"I have a total of 16 ML."

"How in the hell did you do that, also you just said in total."

But if she satisfied those urges I won't need ML to keep her around and with that, some physical change can be noticed in me, I eat twice as much, and my optimal sleeping time now is 12h a day, I and her now share our memory my head hair has become more smother while my facial hair is starting to fall and small patches of my skin are starting to harden I can see smell and hear better. before I was as skinny as a stick now got some muscles on me and my internal body temperature has raised to an astounding 57° and my resting heart rate is 250 beat per minute and if I was exercising it can reach 1200 beat per minute."

"Are you even a human??"

"Don't think so. But after that, I found that when I'm merged with Lily I Have a total of 8 ML which means that she also had 4 ML, and after learning new spells and practice my original ML Raised to be 8 ML, and Lily also to 8 ML which means now I have a total 16 ML."

"Aren't you broken now??"

"No, having a high ML doesn't mean you are strong it just means you can cast more spells."

"Well then let's start this fight!"

they are facing each other with a 30 meter between them.

William cast his force empowerment and another spell that didn't seem to take effect. so he's now down to 2 ML left.

Simon on the other hand cast his Magic armor, and with the anticipation of his first fight with William, the adrenalin rushed through his veins causing his heart rate to increase making his heart sound like an engine and is heard rumbling for more than 30 meters, the air around him started heating and his eyes turned red. his ML is now 15.

William was the one to make the first move, with a single stem he covered the entire distance between him and Simon leaving a huge dust cloud behind him. And delivered a punch to Simon's torso but he blocked it with both of his arms. Even with that Simon's body got sent flying several meters backward.

"Hey Simon, are you alright... Ahhh."

William felt a sharp burning pain in his right hand when he looked it had severe burns.

"How?!"

At that moment Simons's body burst into flames, his shirt got burned only his pants and armband that he used to hold his pen.

"I told you to not pull your punches back, now fight for your life!"

[Gravity acceleration nullification],[Fire thrusters]. Simon is now down to 11 ML.

Simon's burning body started to float a little after the first spell and then two jets of fire showed behind him and lunched him as rocket away from William.

Inside Simon's head, he was speaking with Lily.

"Lily take care of flying and try to keep around 50 meters away from him."

"Yes master, but that punch just now was painful I almost started crying."

"No joke me too, It rattled my bones."

"Hey master, wasn't his acceleration abnormal."

"It was, he surprised me with it, he did spend two ML so he cast a second spell along with his force empowerment."

"Why do you think it's two spells and not just a stronger version of force empowerment."

"No matter how strong you are you can't just defy the laws of physics."

"Another hit and will need to heal so keep that in mind master."

"Got it."

William perspective.

I thought that I punched him in the middle of his torso for a quick knockout but he blocked it with his hands, no that isn't right his eyes didn't move, Simon wasn't able to react to my punch, then how?? that's right it's Lily! She was able to react to a viper bite so that was her!! and that fire was probably Simon's since Lily can't attack, which means that Simon handles attack and strategy while Lily handles defense and maneuverability this the most efficient way.

He really doesn't look like a human anymore, they are like a tank Lily is the driver and Simon is the commander and the gunner.

Simon's just started flying as if he was a fireball.

He is keeping his distance from me, a wise move. But I also have planted my trick.

William extended his hand in front of him and started pulling.

Simon's hand got tied together and is being dragged down by William.

[Thread manipulation]. this spell allows me to create a considerable amount of invisible threads, the same ones that I created my armor with, and control them at my will. Before I used them to knit a Starting block for my self and tie it down to the ground and with that I managed to get my acceleration and when I punched Simon, just before the moment of impact I used them to tie my feet to the ground so the recoil won't send me backward, of course, they are reusable and I tied them Simon's hands on the impact, but now I need to hurry and drag him down before my thread get burned.

"Don't go flying alone, come set down here with me, SIMON!!!"

Simon's and Lily's perspectives.

"This man actually came up with this, those threads are resilient it will take me some time to burn them, you should fly upward, we will drag him to the sky."

"Yes, master."

But just as Lily increased the jet's strength they both felt a sharp pain in their arms.

"Master I can't it's too painful, our arm will be torn apart!"

"I felt that, just circle around and try to tie him with his own rope."

"Yes, master."

William perspective.

He is trying to tie me, I'll let him do it but as soon as he gets close I will dispel the rope and knock him out.

Simon managed to burn the rope.

"Not so fast!!"

William dispelled his rope that was tieing him and recast it again

[Thread manipulation]. He now has only one ML left.

He then created another Starting block and launched himself toward Simon, but as soon as he got close Lily flew upward.

He is flying but I can still catch him if jumped really hard

[Force empowerment Second layer].

This was my last ML and my trump card.

William jumped as high as 30 meters following Simon.

Simon's and Lily's perspectives.

"Master do something he's about to catch us."

William's hand is almost touching Simon.

"you don't have to tell me."

[Shockwave]. BOOM. A thunderous sound erupted from Simon with a shockwave pushing William back in the middle of the air. Simon now has 10 ML.

"I can still go. Take this."

[High Augmunt Gravity]. Simon now only has 8 ML left.

William as he was in the area of the spell he started falling at a tremendous speed.

"And also..."

[Elemental arrow] Fire, [Elemental arrow] Fire, four flaming arrows were launched at William. Simon has 6 ML left.

William perspective.

Those arrows are going to hit I need to defend.

William curled into a ball in mid-air, three of the arrows hit, and one missed him.

"Simon that hurt!! Take this!!"

William formed his thread into a whip and sent it at William.

Crack... it's a hit. The whip then twisted around Simon's.

Simon's and Lily's perspectives.

"Yes, I hit him...". Crack!!!

"Ahhhhhhhhhh..." Screamed both Simon and Lily at the same time as the whip hit Simon's chest on the left side.

Simon's jet got dispelled.

"Lily are you okay... Lily!!!!" Lily fainted due to the intense pain from the whip.

"Tch that hit definitely broke some of my ribs."

William had landed and has flung Simon toward the ground.

"Damn it we are going to hit the ground!"

[Heal], [Heal]. Simon has now 4 ML left.

This will ease my pain, and now to take care of the impact.

[Earth shift], to soften the ground. Simon now has 3 ML left.

BOOM. Simon hit the ground and he blacked out for a split second, when he opened his eyes he saw William rushing to him.

[Fire burst], A thin sheet of flame shoots directly at William. Simon now has 2 ML left.

William easily dodged the flames. and now is on top of Simon delivering a punch to his face.

William stopped his punch before it hit Simon's face, causing a burst of air.

Simon put out his flame.

"It's my loss."

Simon and Lily lost this fight.
