"Abel?"
"Yes father?" he emerges from the door way and bows to his parents. The maids leave the study room.
"Come sit. Your mother and I have something important to tell you," he points to a stool positioned near him and Abel took a seat. "The thing we wanted to explain is about your education."
"What about it father?"
"You will now be attending Campbell College Boarding School next week. We now think since you are now 12, you can stop having lessons with your governor at home and go to a boarding school with many other boys your age."
"Oh that sounds fantastic father!"
Campbell College was an all boy boarding school located in Belfast and was founded by philanthropist Henry James Campbell in 1894. All the politicians' sons went there and the headmaster was a well respected man.
"Jolly good. Go with your butler and start packing. You have a school uniform which will come in 5 days and you have a list of what you need to pack."
"My dear son," his mother says softly, "You know I have an uncurbable sickness and won't make it far enough to see you achieve your goals. So promise me this," Abel turns and faces his mother, "Be a good lad, do not get in trouble because it will ruin the family name and my last wish to you is to make yourself and us proud."
Abel stands up and hugs his mother, "I shall follow your wishes mother." He then bows to his parents and leaves where his butler Abraham was waiting outside the door.
"Young Master, you have heard what your father said. Let us start packing for your trip."
"Yes Abraham." He starts to walk, Abraham walking behind him.
This will be an adventure.
