Chapter Three ~Abel's POV~

I ran to the horse stable and walked to my horse named Tucker. His deep brown hair and midnight stained mane laid lazily on his body. ''Hello Tucker, want to go on a ride?''

Tucker raised his majestic head and nuzzeled it into my neck. "I'll take that as a yes." I opened his gate and walked him into the field. "1, 2, 3. Hop!" I mounted and moved my leg, "Let's go Tucker."

He neighed and started trotting.

You see, Tucker is my safe space. He might be a horse but I know he listens to me. Dad and mum only want me to be a 'man' and find a wife to carry the family. I don't want that. Maybe the boarding school will be much more fun than being in this dump of a home. "Come on Tucker, faster!" I leaned forward and steered him on, "Yes good horse."

"Abel! Get down right now!"

I looked down and see my father. "Fine, fine."

I slowed Tucker down to a trot and stopped him. "Yes father?"

"Abraham reported to me what happened earlier. What is the matter with you?! I never raised a spoilt child. What have you become? Is this how you will act when you have a wife and a son!? This boarding school better change you because I don't think I am looking at my son." And with that he turned around and marched into the house.

Wow...How dare he say I'm spoilt! I really am not. We have maids, servants! They do their jobs by working for us: clean, cook, laundry. All stuff! I will not do such lowly tasks that those peasants do. I took Tucker back to the stables and fed him carrots. " Tucker, am I spoilt?"

He looked up and neighed.

"I'll take that as a no. Sometimes dad is so mean to me. I can't wait to go to boarding school. But I sure will miss you." I rubbed his head and left.

He thought to himself, "Can't a week come by quicker?"
