Chapter 5 The Classroom

Kai was walking into his class and there he sees Sei and Kyir seating together and he seats with them.

"Hey man, I thought you wouldn't be making it," Sei said

"I was doing something sorry," Kai said

"I just glad that you made it in time," Kyir said

They were looking at everyone in the science class and they notice that there were some low-rank gamers.

"Why is it so many low-ranking gamers here?" Kai ask

"Well, science is a low skill and they do make it a low-rank requirement."

"I thought science was a good way to look at those games with theories instead of other things like math, history, and reading."

"You might be right but you need math so you can learn how to count so you won't get cheated and also history is good due to the history of the god of games, dreams, and play."

"Yes, but still though I more of a theory person than look at it with math and history."

"I see, but it mostly about having fun."

"Yes, but with these other races around then it becomes unfair and less fun but I kinda like. I do like a challenge and if they cheat then I have to play fair and just have fun and keep a smile on my face."

"And that why I like you."

Sei smile and then Kyir wanted to get in on this conversation and she goes on and said, "we need to think about this more and look at this as a way to have fun but I was mostly training for me now."

"I see now. You are no one slave and that why Ram likes you."

"Huh?"

"Ram don't like it when she surrounded by people that don't know heartache and resolve of a gamer."

"Really."

"Well yes, Ram that her own story but it best if she tell you. I don't want to make her mad at me and make me beat her."

"Ram told me that you are a skilled gamer but what makes you so strong and so skill and not worry about what others say about you."

"I may be low rank but that doesn't matter but if I need to go against the god of games, dreams, and play then that what I going to do and I will make sure that I can do it and having fun while doing it."

"I see. I want to see that when you go up the ranks." Sei said

"Yeah, you got to climb up the ranks, and then plus you must be noticed first before you go on and talk about being the top rank to face off against the god of games, dreams, and play."

"I see. So I make my mark here and now."

The teacher comes in and he stands up and he looks at the board and he asks to answer the question on the board.

"Ugh, I'm sorry but what your names again? Oh, your name is Kai. The low rank. You think you can answer this without my guidance."

"I not saying that I don't need your guidance but I just want to see how skill our skills are. That w the first day of classes always is. Right."

"You right so come up and answer the questions."

The question said, "What is the mixture of gas, oxygen, and carbon dioxide?"

"The answer is the inner game world."

"How do you know that for sure?"

"Because the inner game world is filled with these materials and there are gasses that have the things that are created the inner game world."

"Oh so, he was paying attention to after all." Sei thought to himself

"That is right and if you don't mind if I ask where did you learn that from."

"I face all types of gamers and I face off against a person that knows how to use that space."

"I see. You can seat down now."

"Thank you, Mrs. Norman."

"Now, now. But Kai is right and I do need to get the understanding of your skills that meaning that I will assign you to face each other and you must win and if you lose then you will take it again."

"What about a tie?"

"Then I will let you both pass."

"That sounds like a plan for me," Kai said

Kai had been assign to the girl in the front of the classroom and her name was Hannah.

"Hey, Hannah."

She was a little shy and she was trying to make some small talk and she was rubbing her elbow and Kai wanted to talk to her but her hair was on her face and he was trying to see her eyes.

"Hey there."

"Are you okay?"

"Yeah, I okay."

"Why you keep playing with your body like that? You can look me in the eyes I not going to do anything."

"But you solve that problem like it was nothing and now I facing you in a game."

"Don't worry, you can have fun with me."

"But if I lose then I will surely be in the lower side of the bracket."

"No, you won't you don't need to think about that okay. I not going to harm you in any way that you find rude, and I won't let you lose but you need to have more pride in your looks."

"Huh?"

She turns toward Kai and he saw that her eyes were pink and she had long ears and so she was an elf.

"So you an elf. I like your eyes and I like your hair."

She was blushing and she was red as a rose.

"You don't get to hide your eyes. You are beautiful."

Kai looked at her eyes and she had an earring on her right side of her ear and she had pink edges and she had long hair and she was at Kai's chest as of her height.

"Come on let play the game."

"Okay. Can I pick the game?"

"Of course."

She picks a normal game and it was Chess.

"Chess. Huh?"

"Is something wrong with it?"

"No, let begin the game. You start it."

They had sat down and she was nervous about making a move and Kai said, "Don't be afraid to make a move this is a game. You must have fun."

"But it scary."

"No, it not."

"Yes, it is."

"Okay, I go first and then you go."

"No, I go first, please."

"Okay then."

She was moving faster and then she had moved her par on the far right side of the chessboard.

Kai was watching what she will do and then he said, "Begin the Match."

The space around them start to freeze around them and she said, "What is happening?"

"Calm down. I just wanted to see your skills. You an elf and you shy but you need to learn that you and you alone are the only ones that predict the next move of your movement."

"But I can't."

"Yes, you can."

"Okay. I want to see how this goes and if it goes okay then I will be able to predict my next move."

"Only time will tell but first. You must believe in yourself."

Kai looks into her eyes and then he made his move and he moved his bishop to the spot opposite of her par and he said, "Let see if you can build an inner game of your own."

"Okay." She was moving closer to her goal and she was making sure that she can move her pieces with a strong understanding of her self but she still not there yet.

"I need her to go all out to make this really fun."

Hannah had moved her another par and she moves it from the queen.

"What? Why did she move her par from her queen?"

Kai moves his par that blocking his knight from moving and so he moves it up and he had seen that Hannah was focus.

"What is this?"

Hannah had made her moves a little faster and Kai had to move his pieces a little bit faster and so they were moving them faster and faster.

Hannah moves her pars and then Kai moves his knight and bishop and then he moves his queen.

Hannah had blocked all the way toward the king and Kai was at a standstill with her and then time was stopping for them. It was like he was watching a master playing and he was smiling and he was started to have fun too and they were moving faster.

Kai had moved his queen to the middle of the chessboard on the white square and Hannah's king going to be in danger if she moves anything away from the king.

"Come on she got to move that piece."

Kai was waiting on her move and then he misses one thing and that was that she had her queen free to and so she took the chances and she attacks and she moves her queen toward where his knight was and she had a clear shot at the king.

"I notice something about this all Kai and that is that all your pieces in line with your king and that will hurt you defiantly."

"Oh, she is taking the bait."

Kai didn't say anything but he was ready for his turn and luckily it was his turn and so he had moved his rook and attack her queen.

"What? I thought I had him."

"Look, Hannah, you may have me but you need to also see with the second sight and that is all my pieces is guarded by another piece and sacrificing my knight is just a hard thing to do but if you lead another player to make that move and take the bait then it will all pay off. You happy and you smiling but you miss the important thing here and that is looking at your surroundings and that not bad but it isn't good either. Welcome to my world of gaming."
